For those who don't know - Nizhin (Ukrainian) or Nezhin (Russian), which is a city in Ukraine was always famous for their cucumbers. Marinated or not, doesn't matter. The expression "Nezhin Cucumber" is a meme in Ukraine and other post-Soviet states. I've never heard of Nizhin tomatoes, but after trying this product have realized that they are just as good as cucumbers. The producer has followed the traditional recipes and marinading technique, which are quite different compare to what we have here in the US. The major difference is that Nizhin marinades do not have an extreme amount of vinegar killing the veggies taste and making the conservation unpalatable. In this regard Nizhin is definitely a winner. The only thing that I'm upset about - I can't find cucumber-only version of this product, but I hope that this issue will be solved soon.

Very good stuff, loving it, but definitely a bit too expensive, with all the shipping and everything. Not something we'd be ready to buy regularly! But still, so tasty! Ordered two jars, arrived in two separate boxes, both packed well, no damage.

i support ukraine. reusable glass jars. marinated in vinegar and whole seasonings. cucumbers are aka dill pickles. soft and mod. crunchy. great garlic flavor.
