Already OBSESSED with this grinder. My dog's nails would grow pretty long and quickly despite taking him to get his nails clipped regularly. I started clipping at home myself again to have more control (schedule, cost, some nails grow faster than others, etc.). Eventually some quicks would be further grown than others and after two clippings, both times ended up with minor bleeding and my dog was traumatized and stopped trusting me to clip his nails myself.. and i clipped his nails myself since he was a baby so he trusts me a lot and wouldnt squirm or pull before. I decided to try this grinder instead cause i was also traumatized and guilty. I started with just a little bit to expose him to the sound and feel, but he stayed put even though i could tell he was anxious. I'm hoping if i start off a little bit at a time he will grow accustomed, but now there is no clipping and no bleeding, he was so happy comparatively. this is def the way to go. I use the cover for smaller nails, and I like that there is a curved piece so i can place his lil toe just right. i kept checking the angle to make sure there was no potential to accidentally nick his padding and it keeps a space from the grinder itself, so also a huge plus!

Now saying my pup tolerates me using this on him may sound like I'm saying it's just ho hum, but that is so far from the case. For the past 10 years, I've had to take my dog to the groomers or the vet to get his nails trimmed and they have to muzzle him because he bites when anyone tries to clip his nails.I've always felt bad about him having to be muzzled but it was a necessary evil because nobody wants to be bitten by a dog. On a whim I decided to buy this as I figured if it works and my pup will let me use it, he'll no longer have to endure a stranger muzzling him and clipping his nails and it will save me money because I get charged $20 for his nail trimming.For the price of one nail trimming this little baby does the trick. It's quiet so it doesn't startle him and it's gentle so it doesn't hurt him. It's got a charger so you don't even need to buy batteries for it. I'm very satisfied and would buy it again!

Best grinder for nervous pups!! Quiet and effective ! I have a dog who is terrified of the vacuum or anything that makes noise like a hairdryer… his nails had become very long because we moved to a house with the yard so the daily walks don’t grind his nails down. Initially, I just took the tool (not running) and just would hold it near his paws and tap his nails with it to get him familiar with it. This tool is actually very quiet. I was skeptical at first, but I was able to use it on all four paws without issue. He did shake because he was afraid but he let me do it. Lots of praise during the trim and more with treats once I was finished. I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this purchase. I’ve bought grinders before and they said they were quiet and effective and they were not. The light is a wonderful bonus and something I can’t do without now. This is awesome. A must buy!!!

It's been a virtual nightmare trying to clip my dog's nails. She can't stand it and trying to keep an 80 lb dog steady is not possible at home. I tried different things, even tried harness that holds her in the air. Nope. Nope. Not having it. I decided to give the grinder a chance and holy cow. What a game changer. It took her a little bit to get used to it but within 10 minutes or so she just kind of sits there and lets me trim them down with it. This thing is a lifesaver and she's now okay with it.

I've had my dog for 9 years and trimming her nails has never been this easy. This little thing was so quiet she didn't react at all until she realized it was nail trim time. I had plenty of treats, did a quick trim with the clippers which were sharp and easy to use then came at each nail with the grinder. The battery held up perfect, it didn't lose power or slow down through the whole process. It took a little practice but eventually we got the hang of it and it gave her a beautiful manicure. No pain, no whining, she barely even tried pulling away. I highly recommend this product and will make sure as long as there's a critter in my house this nail grinder will be too!

Absolutely wonderful. Yes, it buzzes and your dogs will notice. It’s how you introduce that is important. And once you apply it to the nail, be confident and firm in the pressure, applying even strokes, so it reduces the friction and vibration. By the second paw, my dogs were relaxed and didn’t try to pull their paws away. This is a game changer for our 100lbs dogs who are not fans of grooming visits. Thank you!!!

I haven’t tried the electric clippers yet, but I have used the other ones and I love them. They have a stopper so you don’t go too far and hurt your fur babies. They are easy to use and with all the other clippers I have tried I always had to use two hands to cut there nails with this pair you just squeeze and it cuts right through them. Wish I would of bought sooner would of saved a lot of money and time.
