I'm hoping by getting a bigger antenna and adjusting it, it will be better. I can't radio other drivers unless they are within 50 feet of me otherwise it sounds like gibberish even with an added speaker unless they have a really high powered CB then I can hear them. Most drivers cannot even understand me either. Disappointed

The Bearcat 880fm meets expectations, probably would be a better radio in a different semi than the one I drive, freight liner cascadia. Radio and coax and antenna is all new but will only get out about 2 miles max on a good day. Love the weather alert on the radio meets and exceeds my expectations.

Never had the chance to even test any of the functions because the LCD screen was so dim in the daylight you could not even read it. It’s been return. My recommendation would to by something other than the Uniden or at very least a model without the crappy LCD screen

It’s a good looking radio. I installed it in my center dash in my Silverado. In hindsight, get an external speaker if you have a loud truck and wire directly to battery. I get a lot of engine noise coming through being wired to chassis and fuse block. This is not a compact radio, make sure you have space to mount it.

No issues, easy install. I haven't seen any evidence of the screen fading out.

The display isn't very bright in the daylight while the brightness is turned up all the way. Other than that it is a good radio so far.

I love the CB does everything i required and more. Looks great in my truck.
