Little Live Pets - Lil' Bird & Bird Cage: Tiara Twinkles, New Light Up Wings with 20 + Sounds, and Reacts to Touch

My 2-year-old son is obsessed with birds. He loves them. My older daughters (5 and 7) have a version of this toy that they have had and loved for a few years. I thought it was such an odd item for them to pick out at the store. But, they have loved it and consistently play with it, even now. My son found it and decided it was his. So, I HAD to buy him his own little birdy. This one is perfect. It is a good size for him (and his sisters), it is easy to manipulate and play with, it has stood up to my kids and their antics. The cage is slightly less sturdy than the one I bought a few years ago, but it hasn't presented any issues so far (2 months of use so far). If we didn't have the old one, I wouldn't be bothered by the construction or materials of the cage. The bird talks when you press the button and will repeat things back to you in a cute little bird voice. It says, "I love you" a lot and is just super sweet. I don't like a lot of animated toys with lights and sounds. But, I don't mind this one, because it is so simple and still encourages imaginative play. My kids will secretly press the button when someone is talking, then play it back to them as a "prank." They think it is hilarious. It is definitely a fun little toy.

I recently bought this for one of my former preschool students who turned 7. I first met her when she was 3 years old. This little “talking” bird made her so happy. The video her mother sent me of her with this bird and what she was having it say was so adorable. She even took it to school for show and share the week after her birthday party! Love that it brought her joy for more than a few minutes. A toy at a great price point. I highly recommend it.

Niece loves it. She loves that it records and repeats. Held her attention for a while.

I bought this a few times for various children, everyone of them loved it. The parents liked it more because their was no maintenance of taking care of an actual pet :)

This was cute but certainly not worth what they are charging for it.
