The smell is lovely, the beads the perfect size, the bead string is of a high quality. Husband is eyeing this one, he also loves the beautiful smell.

These prayer beads are securely made and are beautiful. Having been used daily, they are sturdy.

COMMENTS: I am not Muslim, but use 3s in my own practices, which made this suitable for me. PROS: - These beads are nearly (see neutrals/below) as pictured, which was exactly what I wanted. - My beads seem to be less varnished/polished than those pictured, which is a pro to me as I prefer this in use and less shine in general. They are still quite smooth, just not slippery, and do have a sheen more than a shine. - The numbers were correct and I adore both the style and function of the 33 markers. - The additional five beads are extremely useful (wish there were 7, but that’s a personal preference), and they are tight enough that they hold your count without slipping. I haven’t tried to hold a count while walking/moving and having them hang loose though. UPDATE: They do! NEUTRALS: - My beads varied from the images in that they appear to be less varnished, are lighter (like the second set of pictures, which bummed me a little as I liked the darker, but natural variance is to be expected), and were all one color instead of having lighter markers. *Please expect variance when ordering products made of a natural substance - it’s not fair to sellers/artisans to be upset about this unless there is an extreme difference*. - I noticed absolutely very, verly little scent associated with mine. I only get a faint bit if I hold them directly under my nose. I wasn’t particularly invested in this aspect though so it doesn’t bother me. Oud is a lovely scent though. - These wrap three times, with a bit of effort, around my average to slightly larger sized wrists as a woman (which I should probably measure for you all). I would exact twice with slack for most larger wrists, possibly three with slack to four on small/very small wrists. CONS: - There is very little slack between the beads - about one bead width (8mm) - for counting. I sometimes struggle to keep on the right bead because of this, especially right after passing a marker bead. I do wish there was slightly more. CONCLUSION: - These are phenomenal beads that I was very pleased to receive. I prefer simple pieces, and these had the perfect combination of understatement with style and function with the additional counting beads and the markers. I would highly recommend this to anyone that uses beads in prayer or meditation. They come simply packaged and would make a great gift even directly shipped.

While I am not Muslim and really have no familiarity with the tenets, beliefs or practics of the religion, the appearance of these prayer beads really appealed to me. I decided to order them more as something exotic, perhaps a bit of decor or just something from another part of the world where I've never been but would like to visit -- Indonesia. The beads really have a nice weight to them, are dark in color and smooth to the touch. I can see them being comforting simply to hold in your hand or rub when feeling worried. The best thing of all, however, is the great scent! They smell amazing. It is a woodsy smell of nature with a bit of a tang to it and I find it very pleasant. It isn't strong or overpowering. I didn't even realize they had a scent to them until I read it in some of reviews. Then I smelled them and sure enough, they smell great! I'd say they could be used for various types of prayer, meditation, decor or simply as a keepsake.
