I'm so glad stainless steel is a thing for cat litter. Its so much easier to clean! My cat got in it right away. I was nervous she would not like it without a top but she seems to love it.There was a slight dent from traveling in a delivery van but I do not feel that it deters from the item. It was nice that I also recieved a step down mat and another scooper. As well as a hook to hang said scooper up. Very hand. Good value for the money. Litter box seems sturdy and that it will hold up well for the year. Functions well for older cat even.

I wish I had switched to a stainless steel litter box sooner. With the plastic ones, my cat’s nails always scratched up the bottom, and no matter how much I scrubbed, it never felt truly clean. This stainless steel one is a game changer! No scratches, no lingering odors, and it wipes down easily without absorbing anything.It’s sturdy, doesn’t stain, and actually looks kind of sleek (as far as litter boxes go). My cat had zero issues adjusting, and I feel way better about the cleanliness overall. Worth every penny.

This is a perfect cat litter box. 5 stars. I will never go back to a covered, plastic litter box after having this one in place for over 3 months. It is very easy to clean; once I've scooped, I smooth out the litter so it is obvious when my cat has used the box - when I see disrupted litter, that is my signal to scoop. It takes 2 minutes to scoop, put the clumps into the nearby Litter Genie, and wash my hands. Two minutes and done, compared to a covered litter box that is all too easy to ignore and then becomes a messy, smelly time-consuming chore to clean/dump the whole thing, what a pain. This stainless steel litter box, coupled with my Litter Genie and World's Best Cat Litter, keeps both my cat and me very happy. Zero odor. None. Ever.The attached high sides prevent litter scatter from the sides of the box - at least in my case, because my cat doesn't jump over the sides; she uses the "entrance" cutaway and the end of the box. However, I do get some scatter from the box entrance. The "litter catcher" bin that is staged on the floor at the entrance does catch some of the litter scatter from cat-exit, but I still have a bit of litter scatter because my cat jumps out of the box rather than walking over the catch-bin. I don't consider this a drawback. Scatter depends on the cat litter, and your cat's "exit style." (Note - those litter-catcher mats are a pain to clean and not worth the expense and cleaning time; don't bother. Tried various types. No joy. I prefer simply to keep a little broom and dustpan set at hand near the litter box. It takes only a minute or two to sweep up litter scatter and dispose.)The length and width of this litter box are ideal for a larger cat. My kitty is 14 lbs; she has plenty of room to decide her spot, especially with no "cover" to restrict her. She simply steps into the box, with no crouching or hunching to get in and out, does what she wants to do, and then does a simple exit hop. No fuss. Happy cat.This is a great cat litter box. My cat and I highly recommend it!P.S. This cat litter box + Litter Genie + World's Best Cat Litter (unscented) = zero odor and a very happy cat.

Our older large cats have been making such a mess in the litter box area, constantly pushing litter out of the box and onto the ground. These are deep, too deep for the cats to bother trying to build piles of destruction. There’s no smell absorption due to the metal and they are so easy to clean. Also, much stronger than their plastic counterparts. Absolutely worth the money.

This is probably the best purchase I have ever made. We have a very picky, small cat that likes to spray everywhere in and around her litterbox(es). Yes, we typically have at least 2 active boxes in the house. She's also a little OCD about covering her poop/pee so there is always litter around the litterboxes which is then spread throughout the house, by her and us humans. Super frustrating!! So in our quest for the perfect litterbox, we've tried every type/model of box to no avail. My daughter was again searching Amazon to see if there were any new variations that might help us and she found this Suzzipaws Stainless Steel X-large box. The picture and description seemed to check all our need boxes, so we purchased it. It is perfect and answered all our cat-related prayers. Very tall sides, easy to clean stainless steel, oversized for our 5 lb. Luci, and even has it's own little litter catcher for when she steps out. We put a large double layered litter-catcher mat tucked under the entry to the box to catch every bit of litter possible, and life is good finally--when Luci's happy, everyone is happy. I sincerely and vehemently recommend this wonderful box. BTW, the mat we bought is Pieviev Cat Litter Mat Double Layer Waterproof Urine Proof Trapping Mat 1 Pack (Gray, 30x24 Inch, also on Amazon!! The size is impressive! I have three cats, and this litter box can accommodate them all if I needed it too. Very easy to clean, and has no pet smell at all. Easy to use and set up. Functionality is perfect. Though, the litter step and the scoop does feel cheap. Top of the step doesn’t align perfectly and doesn’t really help with stopping the litter from getting on the floor. Regardless, this product is well worth the price!
