Are these bulbs waterproof?

They are rated 'indoor/outdoor'. We use them camping and they have been in light rain and have done fine. We have not exposed them to anything other than light rain though.

No. come in 4 colors blue,yellow,green,pink

How do you use the clip to hang them?

I didn't know they had a clip. I used a staple gun for the swing set.
