I bought these thinking they would add me in making Oreo Balls and Cheesecake Cookies, I also tried them on my chocolate chip cookies but I was disappointed in every trial. One of the issues I had was that the swing arm inside that separates the dough from the scoop doesn't actually scrap the scoop clean. Leaving a nice layer of dough still in the scoop made the dough stick and I had to squeeze the handle several times each time I was trying to dump out a ball of dough. In doing so I pinched part of my hand really badly and even left indents where my skin went through the gears. It is WAY easier to just use my hands to portion out my dough as I normally did before I got these. I am pretty disappointed. I really was hoping to expedite my process since I bake any where from 3 to 20 dozens of cookies at a time. These scoops made my work take a lot longer, more frustrating, and added another (difficult) tool to thoroughly clean.

I used the smallest scoop to make 'almond joy' type candies. it scooped fine but would not release what it scooped. the handles would not squeeze together. I tried smaller amounts being scooped, looser scoop pack, nothing worked. when the scooper is empty, the handle does close but not smoothly.I used the large scoop to scoop homemade ice cream. Again, it scooped the ice cream fine but again, would not release the scoop. The handle works when the scoop is empty, but does not work when filled.Since the purpose of the scoopers are to scoop AND release...these scoopers are useless.

They work great for my wife when she uses the small one to make cookies. However, when she used for ice cream they pinched her finger several time and even drew blood... they are no longer used for anything hard like frozen deserts but they work well for cookies and dishing up other items like potato salad or cottage cheese, etc.

These are fantastic. They can be used in baking or cooking. Very easy on the hands to use

Bought these for a new young baker. I have them and love them.
