Great Robot Miniatures, Lower Your Painting Expectations
This is an outstanding set of robot miniatures. Made of soft plastic, each sculpt has a distinctive personality. The ideal use for this set is with a set of wooden blocks and smaller figures to create epic robot battles. The differences in size and style make it easy for kids to give each robot a unique role in the battle. (For example, kids may determine that the the jet-pack robot may be a flyer, while a dog-like robot can ram into walls.) Included are set pieces (2 walls and 2 supply depot each) allowing the kids to to come with up with creative gameplay. The. soft plastic means that the robots won't shatter (or draw blood) if they are thrown. (On accident, of course). As board game pieces, they are mostly are outstanding, though some are slightly too large. These are not designed for painting, by you can make it work. . There is some detail in the sculptures, but not at lot. The soft plastic makes removing mold lines a bit of a chore I ended up using an X-Acto knife to 'carve' out some of the more noticeable lines when I observed that scraping and filing was not getting the job done. Even then, I didn't get all the lines removed. I primed with Army Painter black with no problem. Even then, the plastic was so smooth, it the paint didn't want to take. (This could also be due to my poor skills as well!) My kids loved painting their robots, and you can see the results of our work in the attached photo. This set of robots looks to be a labor of love, and I hope they artist continues to create more!

Well Done and Creative
I have been collecting plastic soldiers and keshi figures for some years now and it's rather unusual to see an established company bring fresh ideas to the table. SCS's tube of monsters impressed me with its variety of monsters and attention to detail. Their tube of robots has reinforced my confidence in the brand considerably. The tube is about 16 inches tall and packed all the way to the top with figures. They're all appropriately sized to be used with standard 54mm plastic soldiers and have great designs. There are a couple of humanoid robots sporting firearms for appendages, a two-headed bruiser on tank tracks, and two different kinds of robo-dogs/cats, as well as others. They are all well done and have a great deal of minor details carved onto them from the lines in the arms to the bases which seem to vary between a circuit board and post-apocalyptic battlefield theme. It's worth noting that these figures do not seem to be made of a one-piece mold. Many of the figures seem to be composed of different molds that have been put together. For instance, one of the tank robots I have has an exposed prong that is supposed to fit into the base. Another example is that one of the cannons on one of my robo-turtles actually fell off and left a visible hole where the cannon would have fit. I do have two minor complaints about this tube of figures. Unlike the tube of monsters, these robots are made of very soft plastic. While not negative in itself, the degree to which they are crammed in the tube somewhat affects their ability to stand up. I had to bend one of the figures several times before it could stand upright consistently. A number of the pieces are also of scenery such as destroyed walls, or a toolbox with spare parts lying around it. There are by no means a disappointing amount of these pieces, but more robots would have been preferred in place of the scenery. This tube is certainly worth buying for the number of figures it provides, as well as the unique designs contained within.

Versatile!
I loved this set of robots, simply because I could do so much with them--by cutting them up and gluing them back together! The plastic is very soft and easily cut with an X-acto knife. With a little imagination, I was able to create silly versions of my favorite TV robots. Beware, the plastic is SO soft that it's hard to find primer that will dry in your lifetime. The best I found is the gray primer.Sorry about the quality of the pics; I'm a sculptor, not a photographer.

Awesome Robots
I liked this product so much that I ordered a forth one and a fifth one is on my to buy list. These robot models have both a retro look and some have an anime look to them. They are very sturdy and are flash free. The set comes with equal numbers of brown and gray robots of each type. They are a couple inches tall, and will work well with common toy soldiers. For those looking to use them with 28mm adventure gaming these would be excellent. I think if the user paints them up, they could be spectacular, and at less than 50 cents each, they are a great bargain. These are great for toys for kids, or as role playing or wargaming models for older people. Both times the tubes I got were damaged prior to them being put in the shipping box; which was intact. One or two of the figures had a small piece broken off, but nothing I cared about. Despite this, I am very happy with the product and highly recommend it.

Surprisingly Great
I was skeptical at first ordering these especially for 20 bucks. I was expecting them to be like the old school toy soldiers cheaply made but fun. These however are like super toy soldiers but robots ha. They are made very durable, and a lot thicker than I expected. My son will love opening and playing with these. If your kids are into like little figurines these are perfect and worth it.

Lots of figures packed in a small tube
For what I needed these were perfect. They are not very sturdy and they bend easily, but are not practical for most games. I use them in my RPG in a post apocalyptic world out of the minds of those who loved Lost in Space and other low budget sci fi flicks and tv shows. These fit the theme.
