Hawkshead Relish Beetroot & Horseradish Chutney - 205g

I first became aware of this product and the Hawkshead Relish company by seeing them featured on Tony Robinson's Coast to Coast programme. I bought this as a birthday present and the recipient was very happy with it. It was exactly as described and I am informed that it certainly deserves its Great Taste Award. It has a nice, mild tang and the fruit pieces are just the right size. The jar size represents excellent value for money. It's very spreadable and versatile. It really does seem to go with everything! The recipient is enjoying finding different foods to try it with. I'm sure it will be excellent when used in recipes too! All in all a fantastic product! I am delighted to support a British company from the Lake District and will definitely be purchasing more products from them in the future- including more of this wonderful chutney!

Fantastic chutney … only issue is it’s shipped in a normal Amazon card envelop … no internal bubble wrap or protection for the glass jars .

I complained that my jar had what initially looked like glass in it, but it turned out it was a piece of shell. It is like a piece of clay, and is very hard indeed, and they are happy that there are contents like this in your chutney, and warn you about it on the jar. When I complained to the manufacturer they said there was no problem that I nearly broke my teeth, and offered me a replacement jar. I threw all my jars in the bin.

ok, haven't had it for years, not as hot as Would like it, but that is down to individual palate

Taste is excellent goes with so many meats or salads. Delivery was excellent. Good value even better it's British made. Would certainly recommend.
