This is a beautiful dinner set and the gold color is lovely. Love the 'briefcase' it comes in for storing. The weight is perfect and the cutlery is of a good quality.

I hosted a Christmas party with 16 people. I didn't have enough matching flatware so I was seriously considering plastic utensils. Then I saw the nicer quality gold colored plastic utensils. Hum? I kind of like the gold! However, plastic wasn't the fancy vibe I wanted. Then I found these. Not a bad price, considering what was being offered. The other reviews really helped me to buy 3 sets. I figured if I didn't like them, I could just use my missmatched silverware. Wow! I'm so impressed with the look and the quality. The gold isn't glaringly gold. They have just enough gold color to look extra fancy. Their weight is substantial and they feel very smooth and soft in my hand. I like that they don't have a bunch of extra tooling or patterns. Simple elegance! My tables looked so beautiful! I tossed them in the dishwasher and they came out just fine. A few tiny scratches from kicking around in the sink but nothing too noticeable. I love them! I packed all 3 sets up in their awesome carrying cases and put them away for the bext big event!

Very nice set. Glad to have have when I want to upgrade a dining experience.

For the money, this is quite a nice silverware set. I've only had it for a few days, and so cannot attest to the durability. That said, the utensils all have a nice, finished quality to them and plenty of "heft," in other words, they don't feel cheap. The gold finish makes for a classy table setting, though maybe a bit garish for anyplace other than Mar-a-Lago.As some others have noted the "soup" spoons are big enough to use for building sand castles at the beach. Jim Carrey couldn't get his mouth around one of these! Best to just use them as serving spoons. The forks -- both large and small -- are just about the size you'd want them to be, as are the knives and smaller spoons.I've hand washed several pieces repeatedly and so far, the color is staying on. If they last a couple years, I'll feel I've gotten my money's worth. Also, the case is pretty darn fancy. I have no idea what I'll use it for, but it's too nice to just throw away. All in all, quite a bargain.
