Can these hedgehog brushes be used on cast iron gutters which I have on my cottage

It would depend on the depth of the gutters and the overhang of the roof slate or tiles, There are different sizes of hedgehog brushers but I don't think it would matter if your gutters were cast iron or plastic just measure the gutters between the bottom of the gutter and the overhang of the roof tile as the hedgehog brushers just sit in the drain gutter and is kept in place with the roof tile.If you don't have a roof tile hangover to keep the brushers inplace there are a range of pastic brackets that will do the job. see product details

Is this product suitable for deep flow guttering

these hedgehog gutter leaf guards, are as far as i know suitable for all types of guttering, the only thing i did is apart from using the normal gutter clips to secure the hedgehogs in the gutter, i put additional long black cable ties every other gutter clip, as i experience very windy conditions, especially in the winter. hope this helps.
