Son enjoys this toy. Durable and good quality. Some toys you expect to be cheap but this is fun and is lasting well.

It's got a nice design to it, and clearly designed based off of Luke in Return Of The Jedi. I've been enjoying the Forge series more than the blade builders one, since I like the option for making a custom out of the parts from these lightsabers.

Does not light up or make sounds

He liked it but wish it had lights. I think there is another just like this model that lights up.

have bought 5 of the different styles now for additional parts. I do wish the had some "generic" parts kits to make my kids own creations and variations.

I bought the Darth Vader version of this set that does light up and make the sounds so bought this one for my Luke Skywalker loving son only to find out the amazon algorithm suggested one that doesn’t do anything. What’s the point of a lightsaber toy that doesn’t light up and make the cool sounds?

I purchased this Luke Skywalker lightsaber along with the Darth Vader lightsaber. This Luke lightsaber came in a short box and does not light up nor make any sound, and I don't mean that it's broken. I mean that it's lacking a battery unit with a light and speaker. The Vader lighsaber came in a long box, and does have a battery unit with light and sound (although the light is so weak it barely lights up the sword, but that will be for me Vader review). Admittedly, I noticed two sets of "lightsaber forge" collection when shopping. One in long boxes and one in short boxes. I'm guessing right now that the long boxes have light and sound, and the short boxes don't have them. Both sets had similar prices, so I didn't think much of it. Buyer beware! Other than that, I would say that both sabers exhibit similar build quality. They feel sturdy enough for sparring.
