Da BOMB for canning!
Ok.. I don't write many amazon reviews.. but this thing is a game changer the same way my cabella's meat grinder sauce attachment was for canning. So I make my "jelly" a bit different than others. I boil my grapes and then I put it in a bag...and I don't wait for it to drip. I squeeze the thing until my hands hurt. This is because the flavor is in the skins of the grapes. I don't do 4H shows and I am not entering my stuff into county fairs. I care about HOW it tastes...and steam juicers don't do the same "juice"...the flavor for that is just not there. So I went back to this way of doing jelly and this thing just saved my hands. I am 51, and my hands hurt after extracting all the juice out of the bag for the jelly, I am not young anymore.. Put the synthetic bag in place of my regular cotton one, and every last drop of juice came out. Easy to clean NOT ONLY THE MACHINE but the BAG TOO! I tend to only use the cotton bags 1-2x, as they are always purple and I just can't call them clean no matter what I do to clean them post canning.. but the bag I got with this thing WAS SUPER EASY TO CLEAN. I am THRILLED with this thing. I will be able to make more jelly than I usually do because of it. This thing was designed exceedingly well. I couldn't believe how easy it was to screw down the press by myself (and I didn't have to ask my Husband to twist it) . The ONE THING i will say on the negative (and its really not much of a shortfall) is how long the spout on the outer can is...size DOES MATTER with this...and It did end up dripping down my cabinets before I got it going out the spout. That spout should be longer but honestly...I can clean up the mess with soap and water.. no problem. My hands are VERY happy and I would like to say "Thank you" to who ever designed this... you did a GREAT JOB!

Good Job Pressing Olives
As we're still learning the ins and outs of pressing olives for oil, this machine is very useful. My only concern is that the metal dented toward the end of the pressing. It may have been due to the extra large bag we used. We had to twist the opening and roll it down to tighten it. Out of two gallons of olives we got 1/3 cup of oil.As I said, we're still learning...ps-I enjoy the process of pressing, just wish the metal was stronger.

Heavy Duty
This items is very solidly constructed out of stainless steel and aluminum. Excellent quality construction and durability that should last many years. Easy to use and perfect for home use. Definitely saves the hands and wrist when squeezing liquids from linen cloths and nut bags. Can process a wide variety of food items to include fruits, cheese, nuts and beans for making tofu and nut milks, plus a whole lot more. Highly recommended over competitor presses made out of plastics and wood. Press is portable and can be permanently mounted if desired.

Low cost, light duty press for home use - VERY messy!
This is a reasonable purchase if you will only use it once or twice a year. It's easy to use and clean, and the frame is sturdy enough for light use. But overall it's on the flimsy and lightweight side - the big nut embedded in the frame and the comparatively long (and comfortable) handles on the long bolt can easily generate forces that overwhelm some of the components. My press plate bent, juicing firm plums - and I'm 64!It's also very, very messy. I'm not going to post the picture of me covered in plum splatters - I look like a promo for a slasher movie - but we had red splotches all over us, the floor, and even the ceiling. This press **really** needs a pierced disk that would ride over the top of the outer basket.EDIT: I sent the review picture to the vendor, and they could not have been more responsive. I heard back right away that they would replace the plate, and after a bit a whole new fruit press arrived on my doorstep. With someone else's paperwork and handwritten note inside! I asked about the return and they were so sorry, no no just keep both. In a way, the company resembles the product.-----------------------------------------EDIT 2, 1 year later: I went to sterilize the "whole new fruit press" before using it for this year's winemaking. The pieces were all wrapped in plastic, like new, but when I took them out, I found I didn't just get "someone else's paperwork and handwritten note" - I got someone else's return. Dinged and scratched, and the press plate bent even more than mine! I was sort of committed to pressing today (first picked plums nearly thawed; last picked plums ready to juice) so I went ahead ands used the bent plate again. I was careful to stop as soon as the center hit the bottom: it worked OK, and didn't bend any more.Fwiw, I cut a hole in a paper plate, and let it ride over the press plate. It did cut the splatter down quite dramatically.

Press plate easily bends
I like the design of this product but unfortunately the press plate was under designed and bends when pressing. We had to add a 3/8" aluminum plate to get adequate pressure.

Well constructed
The press worked great and it was built like something that would go in a commercial kitchen. The only thing I could possibly come up with negative is that it doesn’t have non slip feet. The vase is aluminum and may scratch your countertop. Solution: put it on a silicone dish mat. That’s what I did and it worked perfectly. Didn’t have to hold it down while cranking the handle like that either.

Perfect for making Elderberry!
This has been a huge asset to my elderberry making process. It has saved me an immense amount of time and effort getting all of the juice expelled from the brew. The size is perfect and I am able to use it on the counter space of my island.I press small batches to get the most juice and this size is ideal for that.Excellent price point for the quality.I have not had any issues with the durability of the plate or the press in general and I’ve been using it on a regular basis for several months. After numerous uses, I can HIGHLY recommend this press.
