Q: Are the rollers rubber or plastic? Trying to decide between this and one made by Woodstock. Need it for rolling vinyl plank self stick tiles.

They are a really hard rubber, or synthetic compound. Something comparable to a car tire. I used it for rolling peel and stick tiles. It works, but it will work you to do it. I guess any small roller would.

Q: Is this use for formica as well?

We use it primarily for Formica work , great tool.

Q: Can I use for carpet tile adhesive

I don't think its heavy enough for carpet tile. On carpet tile you need the weight of regular roller

Q: Would this be good to use to install outdoor carpeting?

Yes, the rollers are about 1.5 inches in dia.
