Silicone Case for Sony WH-1000XM5, Sony xm5 Wireless Headphones Protective case Cover, Silver

I am someone who takes care of their electronics. I always carefully remove my xm5s and put them back in their carrying bag after use. I read some reviews online about the durability of the silicon leather, and I can’t imagine it’s an easy feat to replace the headband on my xm5s. This got me looking for alternatives. One day, I stumbled across these covers in a review section of a different product, and I immediately searched for silicon xm5 covers instead of the mesh cover for just the headband. These are great! The silicon feels durable, the zipper is tight so the headband doesn’t slide, and per one other reviewers experience, I disagree with the zipper being heard though the headphones. Just tuck it in the silicon tread from the zipper, problem solved. The ear cup covers lip slightly over the plastic so they essentially “hook” onto the headphones. They seem to stay on, but they do shift from time to time and the ports get slightly obstructed by the silicon. It takes only a few seconds to adjust them back, but it can still be annoying. Lastly, the silver color is not identical to the originals, but it is a hell of a lot closer than I thought it was going to be. It’s just slightly lighter than the original. (My headphones are a year old, so it could just be me; brand new out of the box color is probably closer!)

Design, texture, everything! They made my Sony WH look 10 times better than before. Also the material does NOT feel cheap, it is really well made. I recommend it.

I like these: the stock matte black Sony XM5's are magnets for fingerprints, etc. I wasn't sure if these would fit well and if they would/wouldn't interfere with the touch controls, but they actually look and work great! My only two complaints: 1. Started out with "white" ones (the item description also says "silver") but in reality they are neither white nor silver being a more cream looking color or "dirty white" which I didn't like--ordered the blue ones which look great. 2. It' be nice if the zipper pull on the headband cover would stay tucked into the zipper flaps, but it doesn't stay there for long. Overall I think these are really good at protecting the headphones and basically eliminating all the greasy fingerprints from use and protecting the headphones from scratches, without interfering with the touch controls or other buttons.

Im so obsessed. I got these over a year ago for my headphones and I still have the same pair. They are perfect.

I never write critical reviews on products but this one is an absolute scam. The silicon covers for the sides of the headset are cut wrong and in the first time I ever went outside with the headset both just fell of without me even noticing. In the few hours I did manage to test it the touchpad which is usually relatively reactive even to small gestures required now much more force and wasn’t comfortable to use anymore. The silicon cover also makes it very uncomfortable to press the buttons on the left sides. Overall the only positive I can say about this cover is that the color is actually quite good and the material feels pretty decent.

The zip portion of the cover is obviously secure however the ear cases are just floppy silicones that does not secure or lock into the headphones. It just flops onto the headphones and falls off easily. On my first day of putting the cover, it fell out 3 times, last one flopping straight into the public bathroom toilette as i bent over to flush. waste of money :(

zipper can be slightly difficult to wrestle on, but overall, it's an AMAZING product!
