Really good product-but read the description!
Be aware that this product has a screw fitting, which is in the description-sadly I didn't notice it! Thought I'd have to return as I only have bayonet bulb holders, however I managed to locate some adapters! I now have my random lights up and running-working well-pleased with my purchase!

waste money
I bought two of these for my holiday home and and one works sometimes and the other doesn't work properly. Switching on at night and stay on until switch off from the wall switch. 30 days gone and can't get refund. Wasting money.

Randomises lights on/off
Seemed to work well. It definitely does randomise though sometimes it was on for longer than it was off, and I found it would still sometimes come on in the day.Overall we were pleased with it. We didn’t want to leave a light on 24/7 while we were on holiday, so this worked well, and better than a timer where it comes on at the exact same time every day.We had to buy a bayonet adapter as well, as it only supports screw in bulbs, so with the adapter, this and then the bulb it does make the unit quite long.

It works well as stated and makes the home look like occupied

Didn’t turn off.
Went away on holiday and left this set up. On our return our neighbour told us the light had been on 24/7.

A GOOD IDEA THAT IS MORE ECONOMICAL THAN TIMERS PLUGGED INTO WALL SOCKETS
I bought two of these along with some bayonet-to-screw fitting adaptors. I think that the device's sequences of random timing gaps would correlate reasonable accurately with patterns of human activity if operating specifically in a kitchen, hall, or bedroom after dusk. I will still maintain a wall socket timer connected to table lamps in my living room for more lengthy imitations of human occupation during the evenings though. However, listening to all that whirring from wall socket timers always makes me think that the inefficient use of the power required to continually turn those timing cogs must be costing me a bit over, say, a 7-14 day period ( definitely more than just leaving the lights on 24/7 in fact ). So, if I can cut the use of those down in the house when I'm away it's got to be a good thing. I think these random timer light socket fittings are alright if used only in rooms that would't normally be illuminated for long periods during hours of darkness anyway. Incidentally, the screw-in bulb needs to be an E27 ( 27 mm thread ) and I am using 10 watt ( 810 Lumen ) screw in LED bulbs that give off as much light as old fashioned 60 W bulbs used to do, the difference being that these don't waste silly amounts of heat generated energy when working like those old bulbs did.Eamonn
