Yes, Gezond paper plates comply with ASTM D6400 and/or D6868 standards and are suitable for commercial compost (1-6 months) and home compost (composting time varies by household). Gezond cutlery is suitable for commercial compost (1-6 months) only.

How heavyweight are the paper plates? Do they need to be "doubled up" if used while standing?

These plates are pretty solid. The plates are made of sugarcane fiber and adopt integrated molding upgrade technology, thicker and stronger.

Is it possible to wash and reuse the utensils?

Yes! These utensils are totally ok with daily use and wash.
