I've gotten into chess theory lately and wanted a physical board to visualize some of the diagrams I'm reading in books, and this set is simply everything I need in a well-polished package. The magnetic pieces feel good in the hand; there are no sharp edges; the board itself feels sturdy and of quality wood, the felt is nicely adhered to the drawers, the drawers slide well without catching, and you get a lifetime warranty. Every time I enter the room, my eye is drawn to the board, and it really classes up the joint.

My preteen son has learned the game and is enjoying beating me as he gets more proficient. Bought him this board as a gift last year. He loves it! He stores it in the box it came in which is a sturdy cardboard with some foam inserts to prevent sliding around. He doesnt leave it out because we have multiple pets. The drawers are fantastic for storing the pieces. Comes with extra queens. Magnetic pieces don't fall over or slide around. Nicely crafted. Good value.

This is the perfect chess set, especially if you have children who are learning to play. My last chess set was glass. Needless to say, one of the pieces broke from it accidentally dropping on the floor. The magnetic wooden chess set is perfect, as the pieces do not break when they drop, there's convenient storage built into the chess board, and the pieces stay in their space while playing - thanks to the magnetic board/pieces. I highly recommend this product, especially for kids.

Great little chess set for taking on trips. Small enough to pack in vehicle and yet large enough to play comfortably.

This chessboard is so pretty and perfect for at home. My only complaint is that one drawer is too tight on one side and gets stuck. Still, it’s gorgeous and I love the magnetic aspect of it.
