Bought this for shore diving as sometimes you need you hands and arms for stability if a surge pushed in. While diving, I was able to use it to attach some other equipment to it (camera) when I needed it stowed. If I didn't need the strap, I never noticed it flapping around while on my dive either. Great addition to my kit, you never know when it will be helpful to attach your gear or help with someone else's.

I bought this one for a gift, but I’ve had mine for a few years and I love it. It seems so simple, but it’s really helpful to clip your fins and mask to it when walking to a dive site or when getting out of the water from a shore dive. Even after a few hundred dives the clips (both the plastic clips and the metal clip hooked to my BCD) work perfectly.
