I have been using this daily for over a week now with noticeably clearer skin, less breakouts and no irritation. It has a pleasant, fresh smell and lathers well meaning only a small amount is needed, making it great value for money. Another great Brickell product!

This is the second product I have purchased from this brand and like the first one it has not disappointed. Made from only natural ingredients, it is a top quality product and everything about it shouts ‘premium’ . As soon as I opened the bottle and smelt it I was impressed. It smells really nice. From this point onwards my experience with this face wash just got better and better. I have been using it on my silicone face scrubber and it’s been a game changer. It goes on well and leaves a nice tingling sensation on your face. There are no harsh chemicals used in this face wash and as a result I have had no irritation. After washing off the product you are left with nice clean skin which is supple not dry and tight. This is a top quality product and I recommend it. It’s not the cheapest on the market but you certainly get what you pay for. No dryness or irritation. Just clean and fresh skin.

Does the job really well — leaves skin feeling clean and fresh without that tight, stripped feeling. The charcoal gives a proper deep clean, and the natural ingredients (aloe, vitamin E, green tea) are a nice bonus. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts. Over the years I have used nearly every major face wash brand and every single one has some kind of downside. Brickell’s purifying charcoal face wash stands alone in being without fault. Firstly it is derived from natural ingredients and there is nothing harsh in the formula that can dry the skin. I can tell this because many other face washes, certainly most of those in supermarkets contain alcohol. This means that after washing the skin feels drier than before a wash! That isn’t the case with this. The lack of harsh irritants mean my skin remains balanced and rarely dry. In winter redness is something I associate with the cold, but using this, even in winter, it rarely flares up. The charcoal is quite fine in consistency meaning it won’t clog pores and delivers a highly refreshing experience. The smell is masculine, with an almost earthy fragrance that awakens the senses, without being overpowering, The best thing about this, is that despite being so effective, it is entirely fuss free to use. Despite a price that seems high, given the high quality ingredients, a little goes a long way and a bottle of this easily lasts 3 months if used twice daily. Over time my skin feels incredibly supple, smooth and toned. Only when you try something else do you truly realise just how far ahead of the competition it is.

I've been using Brickell products for a while now and although they are expensive in comparison to the normal run of the mill products that are available I think they are still quite good value for money due to their quality If you are expecting a foaming face wash then this one may surprise you as it doesn't foam at all as you might expect a face wash to. I'm guessing that lathering agents are just a chemical addition to play to human nature that froth means clean? You have to make sure that you give the bottle a good shake first to distribute the active ingredients and when you wash you face with it it doesn't immediately feel like it is doing anything but after you rinse your skin certainly feels cleaner but not too dry. My skin was left clean but also still felt hydrated which is always a positive Smells good too, not chemically scented like a lot of washes. Would have been 5 stars but although a quality product it is at the higher end of the budget

This is at the night out at a good restaurant versus chowing down on a drive-through burger end of the scale. You'll have noticed that it is quite expensive. You're probably thinking I could chuck something similar into my shopping trolley at Tesco (other supermarkets are available) for a fraction of the price. I've tried a lot of those cheaper products and while the product name may be similar I can safely say that is where the similarity ends. If you want something to quickly throw round your face in the shower this may not be the thing for you. If, however, you are the type of person who enjoys a proper maintenance routine on your face then I thoroughly recommend this product. I use it after a shave and before I apply aftershave. It leaves my face feeling really clean with a good even tone (no red marks from shaving). I guess that is the "purifying" part of the name. It's good to know it is just natural ingredients as well but at the end of the day it is seeing how well it works for me that is most important. Some of the less favourable reviews mention that the product is "watery". It certainly isn't thick so it is best used by shaking the bottle and carefully pressing out a small amount on your hand. I've found that about a pound coin size is more than enough. You certainly don't need the full palmful that you might be in the habit of using with the cheap stuff. I use it at the sink rather than in the shower and it is lasting nicely. Used carefully like this you will get good use from the bottle. When my current bottle is finished I'll be ordering another. It is now firmly part of the morning routine. Treat yourself and give it a go too.
