Super fast
I ordered this to replace an old conked off HDD that came built in with Lenovo Flex 3 1580. Surprisingly, the built in Western Digital HDD just lasted a little over a year. Now I'm happy that it only lasted that long as this new Toshiba SSD is pretty awesome and has helped speed up the machine, significantly. I wonder why Lenovo chose to install an HDD versus SSD on a machine that has a good processor, 8 GB RAM etc.etc. It is probably because a 1 TB HDD may be cheaper than a 240 GB SSD but 240 GB is good enough for me.

Cheap, easy and amazing solution for an old computer
I love it! It took a little long the shipping, but it totally worth it. My laptop runs incredibly faster than before (I was about to give up with all the repairs trying to get it faster), but this was the solution. 100% recommend if you have an old computer and don't want to throw it yet.

A Linux Perspective
Pros: Professional reviews indicate this drive is relatively low performing. I've found this often is not accurate because they trust synthetic tests. My test for this drive on Mint 18.3 and a Z270 i5-7400 platform, was to create a 6GB RAM_Disk and transfer 5.5GB of mixed files to the SSD, which used Ext4. The speed was 9 seconds. My best high end drives gave 8 seconds. The boot time from boot menu is 10 seconds to desktop, which is exactly the same as my high dollar SSDs. Shutdown times are the same. The great thing about OCZ/Toshiba drives is the bootable toolbox allowing total independence from Windows. This GUI Toolbox also runs flawlessly on most Linux Distros. As good as they truly are, you don't have to wonder about Smartmon tools or Gsmartcontrol for accurate SMART information, and can do a firmware update online. Trim checked by: [sudo hdparm -I /dev/sda | grep TRIM] Gives "Data Set Management TRIM supported (limit 8 blocks)" but not "Deterministic Zeros after TRIM."Cons: The endurance rating at 60TB is just okay, not impressive. Still, with normal use that's several years of use. These drives Trim time is very slow compared to some other brands. Even with Mint 19x which has enhanced Trim compared to Mint 18x. As an example, a clean install with all updates and 8GB apps, takes 2.2 minutes, with Btrfs as root or Ext4 as root. With normal use and once weekly automatic Trim, the time increases somewhat as weeks go by. Other, (but certainly not all) drives I have with 3D Nand Trim in 10-30 seconds. This drive is the slowest Trimming of all I own or have tested. It is not a deal breaker, but I find it annoying. With Windows 10 these drives Trim rapidly.

Great bargain SSD
I ordered this SSD for my mother's laptop and it installed great I was able to clone her old HD to the new SSD without any issues. It boots up very fast and loads programs in a snap! I would recommend this drive and would buy higher a capacity for my desktop

Old Laptop(2014) Revived. boots in 20secs or so
been to 5 different country since i installed this HD on my laptop. gotten the laptop wet in Malaysia while traveling to a remote island..I let the laptop dry for 3 days and it WORKED FINE!!!!! Lenovo FTWRead and write speeds are around 420mb/s (speed limited by my older laptop chipset)be warned you need to install the toshiba utility software to enable Over Provision feature under SSD tuner. this feature (6gigs of provision space) increased my boot time by 2minute... now boots in 30sec or so. amazingalso has an available firmware update but be warned if do the update it says it will wipe everything. so do the update before you install ur Operating System.FYI I have no issues on the SSD without the update. works fine. update available in the utility tuner software aswell.

So far so good .......
Installed this in an old ASUS VivoBook X202E. Intel i3 2365M 1.40GHz, 4GB Ram.I replaced the slow 500GB SATA 3.0Gb HHD with this 240Gb Toshiba OCZ TR200 SSD.Before boot times were at least 4 minutes. 2 1/2 minutes on a fresh Windows install. Now boot times are in mere seconds.Apps load much quicker. And I don't have to deal with any crippling 100% drive loads. With the original 500GB HHD .... I was getting anywhere from 90-101 read speed. With the 240Gb Toshiba OCZ TR200 SSD ....... Now I'm getting 475 read and 110 writeIt's too soon to tell how reliable this SSD is. For my expensive machines, I'll stick with Samsung or Crucial for piece of mind.I'll probably eventually make this old machine a Chromium book,

Great Drive!
OK. Bought this SDD as a bargain, and expected to get something similar to my cheap and slow (write speed) PNYCS900. I am pleasantly surprised that this drive equals my more expensive Sandisk SDSSDA 240G. Data read/write speed is very good with a write throughput of about 60MB/s. The PNY writes the same 6GB file at about 22-27MB/s.Bought this drive on a "flash sale"... should have bought 2.I'll update this review after a few months of use.

Buen producto

No te decepcionará
