love it
I bought this cage because it was so pretty, but I had a lot of doubts about it. I actually bought 2 cages to compare, this one which I figured was pretty over functional, the other one more functional. It took about 30-45 mins to put together with my husband's help. Probably could do another one in 15. Just read the instructions and look at the box. Their black and white photos are useless. Anyway I have no legitimate complaints. Not awful to clean in the shower, easy to remove old paper daily. Plenty of room for my lovebird, especially since he's almost always on his play gym. I had to clip the doors down since they are guillotine style. He escaped within a day. They could have made a few things better like horizontal bars, clips on the doors, the chimney to fit without jimmy rigging a toy there but I knew that stuff going in and still love the cage. Courage cares more about food and play and company, so yay for a pretty addition to my office

Super cute design
I got this cage to house one of my rats and his friend. Mordie, the white one, seemed to have some health issues so I thought buying him a cage might help with at least his RI issues. Once I put them in it, he has cleared up visible health issue wise and has almost caught up in size to his cage mate.Pros: Super cute design, I did want a smaller one but got this one due to the bigger size. Easy to feed/water. Easy to open the little door in the front to let them come out. The size is pretty good and can easily fit wooden platforms to create extra levels.Cons: It IS a paint to get together. I also had to bring out some glue for the turret thing since mine seemed to be slightly broken and just wouldn't go together without the glue. Since this is a bird cage, it only has two small doors which makes cleaning it a pain for me. The doors aren't big enough to fit some of the rat items through, but that was to be expected. They have also figured out how to open one of the windows so I did have to ziptie one, but that's not a big deal.Overall, I love this cage for my two rats. It's also nice to know that I can use it for a bird or two if I were to get some later on.(The attached picture is right after I put it together, threw a couple of things in and then the boys. It has since gotten more toys in it and is way more fun for them.)

Very Victorian and Adorable💙
I very rarely write reviews but have to set the record straight with this cage!Read all the negative reviews but ordered anyways...well only because I already owned another cage made by Prevue. This cage is 8 years old and holding up wonderfully. So this brings me to this new purchase...bought it...received it...have now used it for one month. It is awesome!! Have my 2 new parrotlets currently housed in it and if they could talk would say how much they love it as well!!

Poor quality from China
Don't waste your money. Love the look but the cage is junk from china. Packing from Prevue was real bad. No packing in box at all other than plastic bag for parts. All the parts hot glue came apart and were broke. The wire cage had side wires broke free and not welded good at all! The cage is very hard to clean. You have to unscrew parts just to take cage off base. We like to clean our cage every week so this will not work. I have had and still have other Prevue cages that are great over the last 30 years. This cage is very cute but not functional at all. It is also very expensive.

Save Yourself Some Trouble...
Pros: This is a beautiful cage once it's put together. Fits one budgie nicely, or maybe a few finches.Cons: This is the biggest pain in the butt to put together. Seriously. I would recommend buying a flight cage and customizing it with ladders, toys, branches, and so forth. Your bird isn't going to care if its cage is pretty on the outside; it's going to care if the things on the inside enrich its life.I wish I had recorded myself putting this cage together; everyone would get lots of laughs out of the whole debacle. First of all, the screw holes for the chimney did not line up to the screw holes in the base; fortunately the one screw and the hook at the top of the chimney kept the chimney firmly attached.Secondly, the turret was a BEAST to put together. I gave up and broke out the super glue, and even then it took a half hour of gluing and holding and gluing some more before the blasted turret would stay in one piece. And THEN the screw holes for the steps didn't line up to the screw holes in the base, so I had to break out the super glue AGAIN, but that only held for about a week. *Sigh* And to beat it all, the grate that goes in the bottom of the cage got bent during shipping. It still fit in the slots but it was a bit of a struggle to slide in and out. Also, they expect you to have wire pliers to bend the latches down on the 'roof' of the cage so that the top doesn't pop off if picked up from above. I do not have wire pliers. I have honestly never needed them. *sigh*But I use this cage anyway, because I put so much work into it I feel I can't justify spending any more money on another cage at the moment.

Very nice, arrived very quickly.
Arrived very quickly. The pictures on the instruction sheet were hard to make out but the assembly was pretty intuitive. It was a little ticky assembling it, but ultimately it came out as depicted. It's very nice, cute and sturdy.

I like the shape of the cage
I like the shape of the cage, but the Windows and the door look cheap. To get the food dish and water dish out, you have go in the cage. The Windows need to be a little wider so you take them out throw the Front .

Love, Love, Love This Cage!!! The Birds Love it Too!!
Yes, this cage was a bit trying to put together, but once done, it is so worth it! I have a mating pair of parrotlets, and they have plenty of room to play, sleep, fight... I have not had any problem with the chimney aspect as others had. I think it is an awesome cage, and we get so many complements!

OMG - Way Too Cute
I normally don't write reviews. I order products and just expect them to be as advertised. But every now and then a product simply wows me!This birdcage is amazing. The detail is what makes this product ! When I ordered, the delivery time was 1 to 2 months so I knew going in I would be in for a wait. BUT it arrived in just over 1 week. Very happy about that! Aside from being simply adorable it is big. It would easily house 2 or 3 small birds - budgies or parrotlets or 1 or 2 cockatiels or love birds. It is well made and decently designed. I'm not sure about the "handiness quotient" of those people who complained that it is difficult to assemble - my husband had it put together is about 30 minutes with no cursing.I highly recommend this cage to anyone looking for something out of the ordinary and completely un-utilitarian. If you have an old character home and a small to mid sized bird this is THE cage to have.Did I happen to mention I love it ?? Well done Amazon!

Delivered with Broken pieces - put together with HotGlue
I give it big points for cuteness. I bought it as a ‘summer cottage’ for my Parrotlet so he can join me out on my deck in summer. But. Where do I begin? Firstly it was boxed extremely large. The base and door/windows were well wrapped in bubble wrap. The walls and roof were loose in the oversized box with no wrapping. The chimney was also loose and arrived broken in three pieces. Four pieces if you include the fact that the gluing of the two top main pieces had completely let go. Which brings me to the gluing. Hot glue used on all of the plastic pieces (chimney & turret). A great deal of this was breaking off in little chunks. I’m sorry but I expected much better construction from Prevue. Maybe I was wrong in expecting better quality - I’m new to owning a bird so I’ve still to discover what the reliably good brands of bird products are. I decided to attempt putting it together with the thought that rather than sending this huge box back I would just leave off the chimney entirely. After some struggle getting the roof to fit on properly I discovered that without the chimney I was left with a great escape hatch. I decided at this juncture of effort that I would just crisscross wire across the opening. Yes it’s cute. Would I have paid the price if I had known it’s downfalls? No, I’m sorry to say.

Difficult to clean because access is not easy by the little and more large doors
Difficult to clean because access is not easy by the little and more large doors. So It's very beautiful and comfortable for my canary.

Very disappointed
This birdcage had previously been put together, dismantled and returned. We received it in various degrees of assembly. The turret was in 3 pieces and thick with glue so obviously there had been a problem We returned it and were refunded right away. No problem with the customer service from Amazon.
