The Eyes of the Dragon
A very well written, and engaging story, with excellent characters and a great story line. I actually cried when the brothers embraced at the end!!!

Better than I expected.
It finished quickly but well. It's comforting to hear some of the names that repeat from other stories. But then, I guess evil never truly dies.Worth a read.

What an awesome book! Can’t wait to share it with my nephew!
I adore The Eyes of the Dragon. It felt unlike any other Stephen King book I have read and completely surprised me. I am not usually a big fan of fantasy, but this story held my attention from the very first page to the last. The characters, the setting, and the unfolding drama were all so vivid that I could picture every scene in my mind. The writing felt like being told an enchanting story by the fire, and I was swept up in the world King created. It was magical, suspenseful, and full of heart. I cannot wait to share this story with my nephew so he can experience the same wonder and excitement I felt while reading it.

An Enjoyable Fairytale
I have only recently decided to give Stephen King's work another go after not liking "It" when I read it several years ago. However, I just recently finished "11/26/63" and having enjoyed that book, I thought why not give his works another try? Landing on this one after hearing that the fan reception to it was not necessarily the greatest when it was initially released and that in turn led to King writing " Misery"-which I plan to get to at some point. It was a bit rough going in and I was a bit surprised to see some sexual references in the beginning of the book, given that this is intended for a younger audience, but those references neither threw me or pulled me out of the story. And I slowly found myself becoming immersed in the story. I liked the slow pacing and build-up, it allowed the suspense to grow while spending time with the characters, which gave us time to get to really know them, I do wish we'd had a bit more world-building, but we can't have everything, I suppose. It reads like a fairytale from another time, and not a Disney one, either. And while the story has an ending, and a good one, I still want to know what happened after that. I can't say it any better or anything more than that, if I did it would probably spoil the ending.

Great book
Loved the storytelling! Great characters, I will miss them! Peter, Ben, and Dennis are true heroes, Thomas has a lot of growing up to do

Fun kingdom fantasy with some nods to King's other masterpieces
3.5/5 - This book reminds me of Stephen King's The Talisman in terms of style and setting, although I think The Talisman is the superior story between the two. I loved the beginning of this one but I feel like some parts dragged a bit from about the halfway-point on. I read somewhere that King wrote this one for his young daughter, and that makes a lot of sense to me as it reads a bit younger than his other books. Overall, I did like it, but I guess I just am not as excited about it as I am some of his other masterpieces."Kingdom Fantasy" or fantasy stories that take place in or near a castle, with good vs. evil, are some of my favorites. I'm not sure if that's a real term, but that's what I call it. So I did enjoy this one, but I was just not expecting the near-YA-ness of it. It was fun to see the nods to Lovecraft and King's Big Bad Guy Flagg play a prominent role. IT was also a small part of the story's background, which was awesome.
