I've used this for 2 seasons now and it has eliminated the pipes banging when my sprinkler timer would shut off. Without this, the pipes would bang so loud it would wake the entire household. Now, the taps shut off and you don't even notice! I hope it lasts for a long time.

Reduced water hammer from LG washer by 80% at startup. Thereafter no hammer.

Unfortunately, the threading on both sides of the brass component of the item is not compatible with the threading on the fittings for my plumbing system. The threading on this item looks more spaced that the threading on my fittings. This led to constant leaking and I had to remove it and buy another one from a local merchant. I haven't installed that one yet, though but it's threading looks fine.
