I really didn't want to pay more than £40 for a bin but after my sensor one died I really didn't want the hassle of having to replace a bin again either. Luckily for me I got a giftcard for my birthday so treated myself to this fancy bin. It really is very well made and I've not had to clear it since I got it as it doesn't show finger smudges. The pedal is substantial and the lid is slow closing. The bin inner is a great idea as you can clean the inside easily if it gets gross, and you simply tuck the binbags inside it so they don't show. Definitely appreciated the included binbags and discount voucher once you're running out as they are an expense I'm not willing to fork out for. 30L binbags from Tesco work just as well, I just have to pull a bit more to tuck them in. That said they are amazingly strong so may be worth it for other people.

This bin is great! I love the colour. It's very practical and it doesn't take up much space. Probably the best bin I've ever owned. Would definitely recommend paying the extra and buying a Simplehuman bin.

Better than all the rest. Simply the best made peddle bin we've ever had and we've had a few. Beautifully made, solid. Fantastic looking. Even the pedal has stainless steel over it. Love the blue one way fit inner blue bin. Just the nicest peddle bin ever.

I bought a Simplehuman bin twelve years ago, and it gave faithful and reliable service throughout, but then I noticed the rear of the lid had rusted away, so I bought this as a replacement. It is excellent for my requirements and is very easy to clean and maintain. Would recommend.

I don't know how folks can deal with the type you touch to open. My hand are always full in the kitchen, so the step pedal is a must. These are a dream to use They clean easily (they don't get fingerprints - magic!), the lid can stay open when you're using it a lot, it's easy to remove and replace bag owing to the feature that can hold the inner bin at an angle for you, and they look beautiful. Worth every dime. You'll have it forever.

We bought this because the design appeared the least complicated with attractive simple lines. I was interested in some of the rectangular bins as thought they might fit better against the wall but my partner thought this one would more neatly take up less floor space in a corner. We didn't want too many mechanism features as it just seems more to go wrong. The bin was securely packaged mainly in carboard that can be re-cycled. It arrived undamaged and is attractive. The mechanism works and the 'dampers' for slow closure seem simple and effective. There is a useful way to lift the inner bucket a few inches and tip it so it rests against a ledge on the outer cover and holds in that position for easy bag replacement. Ten bags were included. The lid opens fairly wide and closes on release of foot mechanism, the lid can also be stood up vertical and then stays open until pulled forward to position where it self-closes. All seems to work well.Questions and things that could be better. It hasn't been in use long enough to know how well it cleans up. Only time will tell how long the silent closure mechanism remains effective. The sticky label on top was difficult to remove without leaving sticky substance on the bin, however this did clean off very easily with a 'sticky stuff' cleaning fluid. A label lower on the bin was better as did not have such determined adhesive. There is a ten year warranty but signing up for it was laborious and not sure whether it would ever be used. The price was higher than the others we were considering but then we liked the neat appearance and the simple mechanism better so maybe paying for better design.

This is my second Simple Human bin. It arrived excellently packaged and in perfect condition. Unlike my previous one it is all metal and looks stylish (as far as a bin can be stylish) in my kitchen. It has a plastic "liner" which is fully removable and seems very practical for cleaning instead of reaching down inside the metal cylinder. It is easy to open with the pedal and has a soft-close feature. The lid won't open fully if you are storing under a breakfast bar like me, but opens sufficiently for easy discarding of rubbish. The G 30l Simple Human bags fit very snugly. I had to get used to fitting the bin liner over the lip of the aforementioned plastic insert liner but once I did, it was fine. The smugness means the bin bag doesn't slip and slide down the bin as they're designed to fit exactly t9nthe model of bin you choose. There was a free pack of 10 liners with the bin. For the price 20 would have been a little more generous! A Simple Human bin and liners aren't a cheap option, but I can vouch for the quality and ease of use.

Amazing - easy to clean, easy to remove bags couldn’t ask for anything more. Well built so hopefully will last ages. At £45 feel it was a really good price and value for money (sure it will last twice as long at a £20 bin, more practical and looks great)
