I love this thing. I bought one for my mom a few years ago, and recently decided I needed my own. When I get a headache/migraine, this does the job. I like how cool it feels, it seems to really calm down all the pressure in my head. IT holds up really well with constant use. I like that it is slightly weighted, which I feel like also helps with pressure. I've never tried this hot just because I prefer the cold, but I;m sure it is great there too. This one is on the cheaper side and I think it's perfect. (didn't smell weird when it arrived either, for the review.)

Works like a dream. It's basically a head-shaped ice pack. Putting it in the freezer might be a bit much, as it's hard to keep it on your head when it's frozen. Not because of any flaw in the product, but because it's GREAT at staying cold and your head will start hurting with how cold it gets. So, I advise freezing and letting it sit out for a little bit, or putting it in the fridge (we keep ours in the fridge). It's comfortable and fits all of our heads. Doesn't smell bad and is kind of fun to have on. So far it works great when we have a headache.

Very cooling, only dislike is it doesn’t last very long. Stay cold about 25mins if that.

I originally ordered the light pink but returned it not thinking about how much light would filter through. If you’re suffering from a migraine, you’ll want black or a really dark color so I ordered black instead.It is super duper cold at first so I had to let it “warm up” a tiny bit and then it was just delightful.

I wish I would have tried this sooner! The weight is nice and it’s comfortable to wear. Doesn’t make a migraine go away but works well at keeping me as comfortable as possible and seems to be really durable. I ordered a 2nd just to have a back up on hand!

This was a great buy. Don't let the price deter you! We have a Permeade Relief Cap that we've used for years, and it is superior to all others we've browsed because it has a velcro closure, meaning you can adjust the width. Researching all the available ones online with top reviews, we chose this one over the TheraIce name brand to try it out, and it did not disappoint. Bought 4 to gift family members too. This one stays cold much longer than the Permeade 20 mins, at least double the time, before it starts to warm up, even if subject to fever warm temperatures. It's best to have 2 of these guys at home, so you can swap out when one warms up. We leave both in the freezer at all times, and have never tried microwaving these. Thickness is good, gel seems evenly distributed, and material isn't weird. Also no issues with smell right out the bag, and didn't have to air it out prior to using. Just remember to always keep them stored in the storage bag in the freezer so they are less likely to absorb any freezer food smells.
