SpencoPolysorb Total Support Kholo Sandals, Black/Pewter, Men's 13

This is a great item, this is my 4th pair, I have a pair at every one of my homes.

Bought these for Hubby who was wearing unsightly flip flops. He likes them a lot but only wears them indoors. -- says they have good support and shock absorption, but they aren't Birkenstocks. They are also a fraction of the money! I could be wrong, but I believe Spenco material was used many years ago for horses with broken legs -- they put a chunk on the hoof for shock and saved the horse from euthanizing.

I purchased these sandals to replace a pair I bought 3 years ago.These are definitely irregulars, as they are at least one size to small & narrow.On the other hand, they fit my wife, and she loves them!

I bought these for inside use only and can't use them as they leave black marks from the soles on the wood floors. Also a very narrow fit,,,

I need to have good arch support at all times and these do the trick while I am at home. They are comfortable and very light. I will buy another pair when these wear out.K.B.

This is my second pair. Frist pair lasted over 10 years and traveled with me globally on many scuba diving endeavors.

I bought this pair because I have chronic problems with plantar fasciitis. The sandal offers decent support, I can definitely feel the lack of support when I take it off. Seems to be made of good material, sturdy, waterproof. My only real complain is the fit. It barely fits. I got a size 13, which usually is loose on me a tiny bit, but it just made it. Unfortunately they don't offer wider or bigger sizes.

I have tried the following for heel pain: Custom Insoles, HTP, Dr Scholls, Powerstep, Memory Foam, and Spenco. This was the only solution that seems to stick (1 week thus far). All of the others helped initially with my heel pain, but eventually caused pain elsewhere in my foot. I think my problem is more due to pronation than fasciitis. Which may be the difference for me as to why these work best. Note: they are slightly on the large side. I ordered size 13 but could probably fit better as size 12.Also worth noting, getting used to arch supports takes time. Whatever brand you decide to order, be prepared for a painful break in period. Once your feet are used to it, then you'll be able to figure out what brand truly works for you. It took me about a year.
