Auto Top Off for Saltwater Aquarium Water ATO System for Both Reef and Fresh Tank - Blue

I purchased one of these last summer, For whatever reason, after about 6 month,s it stopped working.I messaged the seller, and within an hour, they responded and, without me asking, requested my address.They sent me a brand new ato unit, not just a pump. They were quick and responsive. These little pumps are going to fail over time. But I did not expect them to handle this swiftly, let alone at all. 5/5 customer service and support.

I bought two of these for both of my tanks. I actually bought them July 2024, and it is currently April 2025 and they are still doing the thing! I love how they take up minimal space. I believe I ran one of the systems dry, and a quick unplug/replug had the system working properly again. I've had larger sensor top offs purchased from my LFS, and they have quit working with less than a year of use. You won't regret this one! :)

I've now purchased 3 times. All 3 of these are absolutely garbage. They work for ruffly 1 to 6 months and then ultimately fail.Reviews say it's great, but notice none of the reviews mention "Years of use".Longevity wise, this gets 1 out of 10. Waste of money.The pump is a 2 out of 10. It's slow, small and breaks easily. It's the kind of pump you'd expect to pay about $1 for.The sensors are NOT water proof and in fact the sensors will take in water and then create a film inside that destroys the sensor.All in all, this is an epic waste of money. Amazon should be ashamed to sell this product, as it's designed to break and you will need to replace it again and again and again.Quite frankly, I'd like my cash back. This is a scam product in which I have 3 of. 3 is enough to prove a point. If the seller or anyone at Amazon would care to interject, maybe we could establish some accountability. For this product, there is none.Buyer beware. This is a disposable product with a shirt lifespan. Absolutely rubbish.

I've had no issues with this, it's been topping off my tank for several months now. I think i had one error that i had to unplug it, but i think it was due to the water foaming around the sensor, so i just moved it further away from the fill tube. Its fast on and off, it doesn't overshoot the sensor. Pump is super small but tops off quick. Would definitely recommend.

I’ve heard about these cheaper ATO’s overflowing their tank. This one works great and the good news is you will never have this issue if you just turn it on the 1-2 mins/day. It quickly finds the height of the water and kicks on/ into standby accordingly. I have this installed into a 5gal bucket with holes for the check valve and power cord. It lasts me for weeks with a 55g reef tank with lids on. And with a check valve the pump doesn’t get taxed much and should last for a while. The box did arrive wet/ and slightly damaged, but the product was fine. The device’s magnet is strong and holds through about a 1/4” with a very strong grip. The pictures are accurate. Device is about the width of a nickel’s diameter.

I don't want to completely diminish this product. It's not hard to assemble or use. It's small and indiscreet if you can cover the light of the sensor. For the price you pay it's decent.I do worry that the sensor maybe isn't as water proof as it needs to be. It will likely stop working before a year. I have purchased two. One is still going the other has a solid red light when powered on and in place and will no longer operate. I have tried using both distilled water and 99% alcohol to clean the sensor and it has not worked. I even soaked the sensor in alcohol overnight. The only other thing I can think to try is maybe cleaning the pump. I'm pretty certain it is finished though. If you can, try to place the unit and disturb it as little as possible. I think when I removed it recently and let it dry that was what ultimately did it in.Simple set up and mechanism. Decent price and design. Poor longevity.

Works as advertised, easily installed. Liked the first one so much I bought a second one for my other tank.
