GREAT PRODUCT
EASY TO INSTAL AND LINK TO THE Z WAVE HUB. WORKS AS ADVERTISED. HAS A PRVACY LOCK THAT CAN DISABLE ANY ENTRY PIN. CAN UNLOCK VIA Z WAVE OR PIN CODE. ONLY NEEDS A TAP TO LOCK WHEN LEAVING THE HOME. NO MORE FUMBLING FOR KEYS. I LOVE THE AUTO LOCK FEATURE THAT ENGAGES IF I FORGET TO LOCK AFTER A SET TIME. I LIKE THE FACT THAT THERE IS NO KEY HOLE. SOLID BUILT AND SURPRISING TO SEE A SLEEK LOOKING KEY PAD THAT IS SMALLER THAN I HAD IMAGINED. LOVE THE PRODUCT. I HOPE BATTERIES CAN LAST A WHILE SINCE PLACED ON A BUSY ENTRY WAY. I THINK IT IS PROBABLY THE BEST LOCK OUT THERE. ONLY WISH THERE WAS AN OPTION FOR TEMPORARY CODES THAT WOULD AUTO EXPIRE.

Works with my Ring alarm!!
I wanted a version of the Yale deadbolt that would work with the Ring eco-system. This lock does this. One of the drawbacks (my opinion) is the fact you cannot use the Yale app with this model. Overall it's a fantastic deadbolt as long as you have z-wave and/or a ring alarm. Install was easy too. I researched for months to make sure it worked with Ring.

Excellent lock!
I like the touchpad interface, Through the touch-pad when I enter my code in the keypad the automation hub changes from Away to Home modes. Automation reactions change accordingly. I find it very reliable, Initially I had a problem with the lock not fully engaging but that was a fault of the door and frame. I had to adjust position of the door latch plate to set the door into the frame. Enjoy being able to lock it through automations as well, I have a 3 minute auto lock after door closing set up through my automation hub with a door sensor. This ensures the door is closed when it tries to lock. as the locks own autolock will cause it to lock even if the door is open. An annoyance when you strike you frame with the extended bolt as it engaged just as you started to close the door. Through automation hubs you can control the locks codes, etc just as you would through the Yale app.

Ensure you purchase with the key backup option or not at all.
I do not normally write reviews, but after being locked out twice and going through the "troubleshooting" I have been extremely disappointed in this lock and Yale customer support. The lock would occasionally malfunction where the keypad would remain lit yet would be completely unresponsive. The issue with not having the key as a backup is that when this happens, you are unable to open the lock. Utilizing a 9V to "jump" the lock did not work even after the lock had completely died. Using premium lithium batteries vs. alkaline batteries did not make a difference in preventing this issue. Yale customer support refuses to provide any refund after 30 days, even if you had purchased directly from them. I had this lock installed for less than a year and have replaced it after being locked out one too many times.

once you get it installed, it's great
So this thing was a bit of a bear to get connected. The install was very easy, as far as the nuts and bolts are concerned. I did have to take the whole thing out and reinstall it after the initial install. The initial installation let me lock and unlock with the knob, but the keycode resulted in clicking and motor turning, without the bolt moving. I'm not 100% sure what the issue was, but it was resolved after a factory reset and reinstallation. All in all, it took about an hour with diagnosing that problem and resolving it. Then came the connection to the SmartThings hub. The lock itself it simple, but the hub is not. I bought a bundle with the Echo, SmartThings, 2018 hub , this lock and a Honeywell thermostat. The initial setup on the hub took the longest. Mine got stuck not registering the hub, but showing connected, then once it registered (after the 8th reset), the updates got stuck at 99%. After google searches and chats with the Samsung support people, I finally decided there had to be some way to access the hub settings through my laptop. The fix I'm about to explain is not possible on a mobile app. The 2018 hub, when registered through a Samsung account, not a SmartThings account, give you access to settings on the hub. You can manually reboot the hub after enabling the Z-Wave channel or vice versa. I rebooted twice, waited until the hub was connected, enabled the Z-Wave Channel and then rebooted again. The ticket on this is to wait long enough for the hub to reconnect and recognize the enabled settings. Once the Z-Wave status was on and I actually got the connection info, connecting to the lock took all of about 20 seconds. I told Alexa to discover my devices; she found the lock and the rest is history. I have yet to tackle the thermostat but I'm thinking now that the hub is running at 100%, it shouldn't be an issue. Oh, and my hub is running on a 5g wifi network, with no issues.

Excellent z wave lock
Works very well for my entry door. I have it connected to my alarm system to control from the app, which works flawlessly. The installation is easy. I have had several similar z wave locks from the other competitor and I’ll say they both have pros and cons, but are both excellent and reliable locks. I actually prefer the keypad or the other brand, but, the size and look of this one. I also find the audible feedback useful as the lock is pretty quiet. Overall very happy.

It's great...using with Ring Security
I purchased this lock specifically to use it with our new ring security system. It works great and is fully integrated with the ring security system. The users and their codes also work on the lock so you don't have to manage two separate sets of codes and users. Install was fairly straightforward and there was a good video online showing how to install it properly. I'd like the fact that it notifies me in the ring app even when the lock is operated manually. So there is always a record when the lock is locked or unlocked that shows up in the ring app. If you're using ring security I highly recommend this lock.

Easy To Install Great Product
This Lock replaces our regular door lock we bought the Ring alarm for the house we included cameras and a garage opener so this was the missing part in our system at first I was a little skeptical to buy this lock cause I read few reviews about the lock giving trouble to connect with the Ring alarm but after I decided to buy the lock the installation was very easy and the setup took only few minutes and is been working fine the only thing I had to modify was the plate in my door cause the lock was touching one of the edges and the alarm was saying that the door was jammed so I decided to grind the opening in the plate a little and that resolved the problem so far is a good buy 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
