Early Days
Getting older and weighing more than I should, means I often get short of breath. I know I need to accept this age thing - still in my 20s inside, body of a man in his 70s though !!! - and as there is no magic wand available to help, it is all down to me. I therefore have to knuckle down and lose weight and get fitter.I thought I would try this as it might, just might help a little. After using it for a few days, I think I can already feel some benefit - early days yet - but already the indicator is showing some improvement. I shall keep on using it.The Spirometer is plastic, but well made and tough enough to do the job it is designed for. It is not expensive at all and could be of a lot of help for a lot of people, me included. I have never really smoked - tried a bit when younger for a while, never really could see the point - and so I feel my breathing problems are about age and lack of exercise and weight. Down to me then.As I say, after just a few days I have noticed some slight improvement. In my opinion this is worth a try.

Easy to use and potentially quite helpful.
I am prone to chest issues due to aspirating as a result of medical treatment a few years ago. Consequently, I am open to trying ways to to improve, or at least help me to manage the situation. This is a simple, straightforward device that is easy to use and maintain. At the current price of £16.99 it is not as expensive as some other lung exercisers I have tried and it usefully doubles up as a spirometer, so that you can measure the effectiveness of your lung function. The instruction leaflet includes a guide chart, so that you can see the scores that you should be able to achieve according to your gender / age / height. It is recommended that you do this for 10-15 minutes each day.It may well be that you could carry out similarly helpful daily exercises without the use of a device such as this. However, psychologically, using something such as this may help, because it gives you something to focus on and that may encourage some people to establish and maintain the routine of doing the exercises every day, which would be no bad thing and may justify spending the £16.99 asking price.I hope you find these comments helpful.
