Yes should always buy HP brand learned my lesson on buying cheaper ones.

The toner cartridge is recognized the the printer unlike knock-off toners. Only thing that NO ONE likes is the outrageous cost to buy HP ink or toner. (Inkjets cartridges are truly highway robbery). Unfortunately, all printer manufacturers follow the same practice.

HP Products are reliable and quality products. I have bought several of toner refills. Every one of them has been exceptional. They last a long time, and I always get them at a great price. HP is all for recycling, too. They include a label for returning the used cartridge to the proper disposal place. They have a high yield, great functionality, and print quality. They always fit perfectly.

It’s been a excellent product to buy for a laser printer

I used to use non-HP toner, but a firmware update locked my printer to accept only official HP cartridges. While I’m disappointed by this move from HP, I still appreciate the quality of their products. The toner itself is very expensive—easily twice what I used to pay—but the X series offers a better price per page compared to other HP options and just lasts a lot longer before I need to replace it. The toner comes well-packaged and includes pre-printed UPS labels for easy recycling of the old cartridges, which is a nice touch. Replacing the toner is straightforward, though the printer tends to alert me about low toner well before it’s actually empty. The last one did last more pages than the box advertised. Despite the high cost, the ease of use and print quality keep me coming back - I have purchased this twice now.

It came in defective, China crap. It ruined my printer and got black toner powder all over everything. The box says she made it in Japan; that is the box, and the cartridge has China stamped on it. I would have been better off buying the other guy's cartridge for a third of the price. HP owes me a new printer

It's not a cartridge issue, it's an issue with the HP Printers. You need to update the firmware. I previously submitted a one-star review because I thought I bought a knockoff toner cartridge. When I installed the black cartridge, I got a message that said "Indicated cartridge blocked for containing a non-HP chip." The box says HP and the cartridge also has an HP logo. I thought I had been scammed but I bought another HP toner cartridge from another site and got the same error message. I realized this was an issue with my printer, not the toner. I went on youtube and looked up how to fix the issue. I needed to update the firmware and there is also a setting you can change to fix the problem. I updated the firmware and it fixed the issue. Toner works great. I am changing my review since there was no issue with the toner cartridge after all.

Todo bien hasta este momento, aún no hay necesidad de realizar el cambio del cartucho, pero me tranquiliza que no tendré problemas al terminarse el que está en servicio

Based on the HP website recommendations we chose the model of Laser Cartridge 202X for HP Color LaserJet Pro M254 model. But on receipt of the product, we understood the model supplied won't work or is incompatible. Please process the refund to enable me to order the right item. This is a bit disappointing for Amazon as you're responsible to provide hassle-free services to customers. Please note the whole order & return process took more than 3 weeks and i haven't received my refund. Please do the needful immediately
