These DO glow in the dark but need some bright light like direct sunlight to charge. The yarn itself is easy to work with and comes in nice pastel colors so you can work them in to current works or maybe make something small with them like a hat. Once they get washed the glow starts to fade.

Got this for my 9 year old daughter that crochets. She loves that it glows in the dark. It is a thinner yarn. Tangles easily. She has made many things with them. I thought it would be big like the skeins at the store but they are smaller skeins.

Great yarn for projects. Its handy enough to crochet with and held uo in stockings. It picks up light and glows for a nice amount of time. Soft yarn that makes projects more fun.

Great gift for crafty people

I really want to give this one 5 stars. Some of the colors glow really well, but the darker colors barely glow at all. Plus the skeins are so small that you need several of them to make even a child's hat.

I cannot wait to start making a little stuffed animal with this! I suggest putting it out in the sun first to charge it see which colors you like better when they glow. Some of the glow more than others so I would check that out first. Every thing else comes as described as far as amount of yarn. It is also worth mentioning that this is handwashing only!

I like the colors but that is about all I like about this yarn. I tried making some smaller stuffed animals with this but it is difficult to work with. It feels like there is some kind of coating on the material that prohibits it from sliding too well. Also, I had made a small duck with the brightest of yellows and left it in the sun all day - very minimal glow at all. I would not really say this is glow in the dark at all. Looking closer at the yarn, it appears that there are thin plastic "strings" running through it - I suspect that is the glow in the dark material. But the plastic strings aren't really very visible. Overall, I was very disappointed with this purchase for what I was looking for.
