Room Doctor Mission Futon Frame - with 8inch Quality Futon Mattress - Full Size

This was my first furniture purchase from amazon. Safe to say the Futon is of great quality and very comfortable. The only gripe(s) I have with this purchase are:1) The directions were for a different model!!! Building the front and back was complete trial and error. This wasn't too incredibly difficult, however the directions show the front and back designed with horizontal slats, but the actual product is vertical slats. Keep in mind they didn't even provide directions for the horizontal slats (which must have been an old design) to begin with. In fact, I believe when the design was horizontal slats on the front and back, it came pre-assembled. This was not the case for my order. It took 3 (casual) hours to build.2) Shipping took one week longer than expected. No big deal. Customer service was very polite and prompt at getting me my futon ASAP. However, they unsuccessfully got me a discount on my order due to the delay after mentioning the attempted effort. Nice people though.Overall, I give this product 4/5 stars for durable build quality and comfort. I subtracted one star for the lack of updated instructions and the longer shipping time. I am still satisfied with this purchase and would purchase furniture again from amazon.

This is a sturdy, solid piece of furniture and works very well. However, the entire futon frame came in 2 small packages. One package contained the two side pieces of the frame and the other package contained nothing but slats. The frame literally has to be put together slat by slat. Okay, so that was a little bit of a disappointment. The other disappointment was that the instructions for assembly were very poorly written. Even though we had previously owned a futon sofa, it took us 2 days to assemble this, with many re-do's because of the horrible directions. In addition, we were short 1 bolt and had to scurry around to several hardware stores to find a replacement that would work. It was a chore from beginning to end, though we routinely assemble different pieces of furniture and shelving.All this being said, once we finally got the futon assembled it is a strong, sturdy piece of furniture that goes well with our decor. The futon mattress is made of foam (not cotton) and, therefore, is softer and very comfortable. If you don't mind putting up with some aggravation, this could be a great addition to your home,.

so I have had this item for a while now and it lives in a home with a toddler, a mostly mobile baby and a husband...It sees hell and its working just fine and showing no signs of coming apart. My only complaint about this item is that the holes did not line up on the very top piece (with the slats)If we had not had a power drill to more or less force a connection, this piece would have only been connected by two holes. No matter which way we tried it, the top bit didnt fit anywhere else and only 2/3 holes matched up. I made a little diagram, hope that helps.=o==o==o-o--o--o-

It is a nice sturdy piece of furniture, well made. I have experience in assembling things, I have done it quite a bit, and it did find it slightly challenging. I just wish there were more illustrations in the directions. I just kept my fingers crossed that I was doing it correctly and didn't have any problems apart from a missing hole on the top back piece. Luckily this doesn't seem to affect anything - so far any way. Be aware that you need to check the amount of screws and bolts before you begin. There were no extra pieces included and I was fishing underneath the treadmill for a bolt that had rolled away. I'm guessing it took me maybe three hours to put it together. I did this in two steps. I assembled the seat and back panels last night and put the rest of it together this morning. It was not impossible for me to do this alone, but if you aren't used to somewhat heavy lifting, you will probably want some help on that last step. I'm exhausted now, but lying on my new futon as I review this product. :)

Very heavy, easily assembled, prompt shipping. Love it for a couch. The mattress is thin though. Not as pictured either.

This was purchased for my son for Christmas. When I asked him the other day if it was built, he replied that it was and that it is very "comfy".

Overall I was impressed with this futon. Need 2 people to put it together. It would never work with just one. The back part was very frustrating. If you put it together the right way it is very sturdy and with the mattress very heavy. Be sure to put it together in the room you want it in because you won't be able to drag it. The mattress was a disappointment. It is too hard. Good buy for the money.
