I’ve been doing nails for close to 8 years now. And while I love doing acrylics- the smell of monomer is quite strong and tends to linger. Since becoming a mom I’ve chose to only do my nails outside of my house- which is impossible to do in the winter and requires a nice warm (but not to hot or windy) day.Chose to take a chance and try builder gel instead of acrylic and now I genuinely prefer it. The gels self leveling quality shortens file time. It’s quick uv drying, lasts a bit longer than acrylic and isn’t so heavy on the nail bed. And the absolute best part- NO SMELL.

Great! Very strong. I’ve read some reviews stating you can only put one layer cause the second won’t stick. If you buff after every layer you can do many layers as u want.

This is the perfect solution to soft brittle nails!!! With a layer or 2 on, my nails are rock hard. It didn't come with a brush so, you'll have to repurpose one or buy one to use. A small makeup brush would work fine!

This was my first time trying a Russian manicure and working with hard gel, and I was pleasantly surprised! The nails turned out super sturdy—very similar to acrylics—and they held up really well without any chipping. 💅🏼The product itself was pretty easy to work with, even for a beginner. I cured it on the longest setting (120 seconds), but just a heads-up: it did leave a sticky layer afterward. I had to wipe it down with alcohol, which I wasn’t the biggest fan of, but it wasn’t a dealbreaker.For color, I used a rubber base gel polish (you’ll see in the pics!), and it paired beautifully with the hard gel. I bought this as a gel nail newbie because it came with brush cleaner and the little glass. I actually thought this was going to be the thicker kind thats good for sculpting 3D designs because it says sculpted gel on the pot (its not!) but I digress. I’ve not had any other builder gels so quite honestly I can’t compare it to any others but after several months of usage, I can say this product kind of sucks.First of all, the product does not cure completely, which other reviews have said. You have to wipe off a layer of gel after curing it, and it feels like a significant amount is being wiped off so about half of it is wasted.I’ve used it to encapsulate glitter and such successfully, to some extent. It’s just unfortunate that so much of it doesn’t cure. It also feels like the quality varies each time I use it.I will say that I have a bad scratch carved into my natural nail, and I used this to fill it in. It lasts about two weeks with prep and top coat, and then started chipping/peeling off. I had to do this several times because I wore pressons with glue for some events, and the glue WILL peel the builder gel off your natural nail if the nail pops off.Lastly, the brush cleaner/conditioner is disgusting— it’s this weird thick substance that doesn’t actually come off and just stays on the brush! I tried to wash it off, and it made the little glass cup and all my brushes AND my hands SUPER sticky and gross. I had to get it off everything using acetone and alcohol, which is insane.Please do yourself a favor and purchase a quality brand builder gel and real brush conditioner even if you are a beginner.

I have naturally very brittle, easily bent nails. Using a light layer of the sculpting gel helps strengthen my nails and allows me to grow them out longer. It’s definitely a learning curve but the gel settled smoothly and self-levels nicely so my nails still look natural and not too thick. Make sure you invert your nail/ hand to create a nice curved apex.
