No substitute for safety. Buy this one or another one for your child. I'm writing this review over six months after purchase. He's been wearing it since last year, a bunt yesterday was the first time he 'used it' meaning he took a foul tip to the throat yesterday. He thanked me after the game. Worth every penny!

Great guard. Questionable ties
Perfect match for Easton catchers mask. However the provided laces are not the greatest material to tie. Easton could take pointers on this from other brands.
