I had been using another brand of reed for years without issue but their quality had started to go down to the point where several had to be discarded right out of the box. These are a little more expensive but the quality is consistently great so they are much better value.

Best Quality Bass Clarinet Reeds!
I recently tried the Vandoren Bass Clarinet Traditional Reeds in strength 3, and they are the best quality I've ever used! They produce a rich sound and are super responsive, making playing so much easier. I definitely give them five stars!

Great reeds
Recommended by band teacher. They work great. Watch for mold though. Make sure you take care of them. Unfortunately the 1st set I ordered, I received an empty Amazon bag with a huge hole in it. They were quick to send a replacement.

Band teacher recommended
Ordered for my Daughter. She was switched to the Bass Clarinet and needed reeds. We went with this brand because this was the brand her original band teacher recommended for her regular Clarinet. She states they work well, and has no complaints.
