Its great and the sunrise/sunset is so helpful but you need to reset the timer about once a month because it runs a bit too fast and will start turning on too early

I found this by Googling for exactly the purpose it serves. My disappointment, after I received it, was that it is a DC device with a DC male and female connectors on each side. It comes without a plug and your light has to be DC as well with a matching DC female input. Also it can only handle 30W max, so pretty limited on how many lights you can hook to it. Unless you are buying it as a replacement part or buy a whole set with plug and the light from this company, it is not a very easy device to get working.Update: this product worked better for me. It's AC, can handle 5 times the load, more adjustable, and also cheaper https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09DT173R1

We are slowly adding these to all our parrots cages and play cages. The time makes it way more convenient to set proper times for light exposure. I have all hookbill parrots. The steel cages are a must especially for our caiques!
