The Museum Heist: A Mystery Agency Puzzle Book

An absolutely brilliant mystery puzzle book which we bought to take on holiday for some evening entertainment and it turned out far more fun that we realised. No spoilers - A mystery story threads the whole book together in a way that keeps you guessing throughout, puzzles on every page to solve (some tougher than others and some pretty tricky to work out without cheating). There's data/info to collect and record which often leaves you looking back over your previous evidence and it has a real feeling that you and your acomplaces are actually solving a crime. All in all great fun, a challenge and well worth the purchase. Buy it!

The book tells of a crime in a museum and you must eliminate seven of the eight suspects to solve the mystery. The story unfolds using a variety of puzzles and gradually you piece the facts together and the picture begins to clear. The level of the puzzles goes from almost obvious to 'how on Earth can we solve this one?' but with extra hints and a solution if you are really stuck, you can keep moving along until the final suspect is proven guilty by elimination. The book is good quality and the artwork and presentation is very good. You have the facts but can you put them together... Buy today!

The book presented well . The puzzles can be easy or really hard , depending on your thinking . Use of a QR code to check answers before moving to next page . Does provide hints if stick or even the answers Has taken 2 of us four evenings to complete . You can not pass this book on as it involves - cutting out pages and writing on others . Glad I brought .

I've played one of the Mistery Agency puzzles before and it still is one of my favourites space room in a box experiences. I bought this book out of that experience and I have to say it has been a cool story and I've had a couple of afternoons of good fun with it. The production is great, the writing is a lot better than I anticipated, and while all puzzles are not brilliant there is a couple of them that are great and some are challenging. The product as a whole I think is worth it. I don't put 5 stars because of the last puzzle of the game, which without going into spoilers, it's a shame they went that route compared to the rest of the puzzles of the book and it did sour an otherwise cool conclusion. In any case if they release a second book I'll be definitely be looking for it.

I am so sad I have come to the end of this book and its marvellous puzzles and activities. It was so much fun to work through, challenging but achievable. It was completely addictive and every spare moment I had I would dip into it for a crime-solving puzzle fix. My daughter hasn't seen me in a week but that's ok because I figured out whodunnit. Please please bring out a new one soon! I need to feed the addiction you've created...

Wow wow wow, I have literally just finished this book and had to come and review it straight away! I’ve never found a book like this before and not sure I will again. The artwork is stunning all the way through, the hardback cover is gorgeous with a textured feel giving it a high-quality finish, and the story is so clever!!! It tricked me a few times and I missed the odd clue but luckily there are hints and the solutions in the back. The QR codes are also a clever way to keep you on your toes too, not letting you carry on with this story until you get it right, or else you may miss an important aspect that only shows up on your phone once you’ve got the correct answer. Genuinely think this is one of the smartest books I’ve found/read/completed ever!!! If you like a mystery book, game, movie etc, and want to immerse yourself into and interactive one, this is going to be right up your street :)

Really enjoyed this - a fun story and interesting puzzles kept me engaged. The system of the QR codes for some puzzles was great (if a bit temperamental at times - no issue as the book has solutions too) and each solution was tough enough to keep me busy for a couple of minutes before I moved on. Easily a good two to three hours of fun in here, an absolute no brainer. Goes fantastically well with the other Mystery Agency games!

SUCH good fun. Puzzles range from 'oh, that was easy' to 'I have no idea where to start'. It felt really odd to tear pages out of and write on pages of the book but that's all part of the fun. I have finally used a notepad I've had for years and it's full of workings out and maths and little side notes. Loads of fun. I do a few pages per night.

The book is great quality and has nice cutout pages to track. The story is interesting, and the puzzles have good variety and challenge. I ended up scribbling puzzle solutions directly on the pages, so I wouldn't consider this loanable or regiftable.

Puzzle books that are both challenging and enjoyable are hard to come by- I'm choosy and hard to please when it comes to puzzle books- and this book is perfection. Great puzzles, engaging story, nice artwork; I can't say enough good things. I'm greatly anticipating more mystery agency puzzle books. I'll buy them all!

My husband and I have done many books of this nature, and this is by far our favourite one. Usually story lines are secondary and rather boring, but this one was straightforward, interesting and crucial to solving the mystery. There is just the right amount of difficulty; none of the answers were so far fetched that they seemed unreasonable, yet not simple enough to solve at first glance (or even second). We spent several hours of enjoyable time, over multiple nights, working our way through this book and were actually sad when it came to an end! It definitely left us wanting more, so I am hopeful this author has a second book coming!

This book is gorgeous! Excellent quality. Even love the feel of the cover. The puzzles are fun and have different levels of difficulty. I really hope there will be more cases to solve in the near future.
