Superb kit.
Love it! I was setting up my Vinyl den at home and it’s not a huge space, so went with a pair of of KEF Cresta 2 speakers and a Pro-Ject E1.2 Turntable. I then wanted a small Amp and Pre-Amp that were capable but also looked good. I read loads of reviews and watched plenty of YouTube reviews too on these DOUK components. I’ve upgraded the Valves on the amp and used decent cables and I’m over the moon with the results. Sounds superb and looks great. Can’t complain at all.

Quality sound and useful features
This tiny preamp replaced a big and heavy professional 4 channel DJ mixer that I was using specifically for the phono preamp. The sound quality is comparable and the noise floor is very low. The main feature for me is the ability to power via a power bank. I tried a couple of low impedance headphones, all working fine. Excellent overall.

Excellent sub £50 phono amp
Superb sub £50 phono pre-amp. Hooked this up to my AV amp via the CD input. Was pleasantly surprised and how great it sounded. No buzz, no hum. Pure silence untill I put a record on. Really like the additional bass and treble controls as my AV amp doesn't really allow this without major messing with. The 3.5mm jack is an added bonus. Can't really fault it. Love it.

Does the job
This preamp does the job, and despite using it with a very cheap USB power adapter, is hum free. The size took me by surprise. This is a tiny unit, with rather small controls.

Transformed the sound from my turntable
I recently bought the ATLP120X turntable to use with my powered speakers (HS50M). I made use of the built in phono amp to get a line level signal. It was great but as I was going into powered speakers I had no single volume control (one on each speaker) and no control for treble or bass. This little unit has made all the difference, a single volume and the ability to colour the sound to taste. Really impressed with the sound I have now for very little investment. Whilst cheap I’d imagine that the built in one on the turntable only has components that cost pennies. It’s all subjective of course, but this has made my setup 8x better than previously 👍

Good value pre amp
I bought this little pre amp for my daughter so that she would be able to plug an old 80’s Sony direct drive turntable into a pair of KS Reunion active speakers. I had tried couple of other budget phono pre amps and both were too noisy to be considered usable. This one, however, works a treat. It sounds good and has virtually zero background noise or hiss. It looks quite cute as well. You will have to provide your own usb power supply though. But considering how awful and noisy the power supply’s that are usually included with these budget amps are, I would consider the ability to provide a higher quality PSU a bonus. I’ve tried and returned quite a few budget pre amps from Amazon and I feel that it’s always the PSU that lets them down. A cheap, generic, dc adapter will always spill a load of interference and buzz into the audio. And the smaller the amp, the more susceptible it can be to such interference.

Wow
Wow. I was not expecting that level of difference for that price point. I have the audio Technica lp120xusb which is a great turntable but this little preamp has quadrupled the sound

Solid product
Seems a good quality product, well made for the money. Used as a headphone amp and works well, sound is ok and vu meters are a very nice feature.

I was looking for a phono preamp for my Ortofon Cadenza MC phono cartridge and stumbled upon this small device. It looks well engineered and works well. I connected a DC powerbank and then a a USB-C cable with regular iPhone 5 V DC power plug and did not hear any difference. The sound quality is excellent.
