I like the visibility but not the flashing light but was pleased I could set it to not flash. An improvement they could make would be to put a slight baffle of some kind atop the light so it does not affect your night vision while still being capable of being easily seen by others. It is certainly nice to feel safer!

I bought this mainly for a new years eve 5k race. It's both reflective and lighted so people can see from a quite a ways away. Simple, easy and effective!
