Good for snow cables.
These work great. If you've used tire chains you'll know that what you can do in your driveway is completely different from how it actually goes down on the side of the road in the snow, fingers number, light dim.... I bought these because I have a Prius with very low clearance between the tires and the other car parts. These keep the cable-chains right up against the tires and not hitting 'other car parts.'I just used these and they worked well. I used these to tighten my different brand cable-chains---so if it didn't work it's on me. They worked. Two things. 1. In the cold the bungee is very stiff and 2. If you don't attach all the clips, it still works well, but you might lose the unattached clips. I connected five of six on each side. When I removed my chains I'd lost one of these clips.Cold fingers in clumsy gloves.... I'd suggest making some kind of a J-hook with a wooden handle to stretch the bungees, then it would be easy to attach the clips with the other hand. Attach the first clip near the ground, then pull up on the J-hook attach the top, then work around.I'd buy them again, and after driving back and forth over my cables, the next set I'll buy from this company. Their cable chains can be put on without have to drive over the cable.

First purchase of tire chains/cables, it worked fine.
This is my first purchase of tire chains/cables, so nothing to compare with.Pros: It provided good traction on the snow and ice, they stayed on alright without adjustment for three days trip to Big Bear.Cons: While it was easy to put in a garage during test, it proved to be very hard in the field condition in freezing weather.

Worked Great!
We purchased these because one of the ones that came with our tire cables broke because they were super tight on the tire cables. These were a little larger and worked perfectly. We were in the mountains for almost a week and needed the tire cables the entire time and had no issues.

Arrived on time, and as advertised.
Works well at keeping chains tight.

Excellent and necessary item
Though not required for my cable chains, these tighteners gave me a greater sense of confidence that my chains would stay in place. Plastic hooks prevent wheel damage.

Excellent
I am using these on 26” tires and they couldn’t be more perfect. Thank goodness it’s a very firm rubber band that you have to pull hard to attach! Keeps the chains tight and unlike bungie cords they don’t break after an hour or two of mowing!

Rubber tension-er breaks
The rubber tension band that holds the chain taut broke when being put into place. This happened twice during travel in the Rockies in heavy snow conditions. After reading reviews about this problem I purchased two additional tension-er bands. Good thing because without the band providing tension the chains won't stay on and I would have been stranded on the roadside in the backcountry during a snowstorm. The really troubling thing about this poor quality product is the company knows there is a problem with the rubber breaking. I even kept the spare bands inside the truck so they would stay warm enough to stretch, but still they broke. I have 'trucker bungees' that are several years old and they don't break, even in sub-zero temps. If you buy this product, instead of buying spare tension bands buy short trucker bungees to put in place on the cables and you won't get stranded.
