Works great to keep my head ,ears and neck warm even in windy conditions. I don’t use it over my nose much because it fogs up my glasses.

So I did not get this ski mask balaclava to ski in or snowboard or snow mobile or hike in. I purchased it to wear in my backyard to do yard work on cold days. So, I cannot comment on how it does for recreation in snow. As far as to work in;It fits a man's head. Some questions were about its fit for boys or women. I can say as an adult male that it fits fine. You can wear a cap or hat over the mask. The material is soft and provides adequate cold protection. But only adequate.The main problem for me was it did not really provide as much cold protection as my favorite wool beanie cap. The material was just too thin. Even though I could cover my entire head, I still felt cold. I will not be using this on very cold days.
