I got this paracord for use around the house and in camp. I've used many different brands of paracord through the years, and I'm pleased to report that this VVAAGG paracord compares pretty favorably. Here's why I say that: Pros ----- * Well-made. This paracord seems consistently well-made, with no obvious flaws or imperfections anywhere in the outer sheathing. * Good length. I measured the length of this paracord twice, since I've been cheated on length in the past. Not here. VAAGG gave me a little over 100 feet of paracord, as much if not more than I paid for. Great job! * 7 well-made and distinct inner strands. This is one of the best indicators of quality paracord. * Comes with a free Velcro strap. This wasn't in any way necessary, but is certainly a nice bonus. Cons ----- * Stiff outer jacketing. This paracord is noticeably stiffer than the mil-spec stuff I normally buy, making it a hair harder to tie. This isn't entirely a bad thing, though, since it also means that this paracord is less likely to get runs or tears in its outer sheathing.

Item description: 550 paracord, black, 100 feet Brand: VVAAGG Item: B0C3GF1Y21 Date received: 2023-06-28 Headline: Exactly as described Product Claims 100 continuous feet, 550 paracord color, black The product arrived in a plastic zipper bag within which the paracord was wrapped in a hank, held together with a nice hook-and-loop fabric fastener affixed with the company logo. The product description doesn't need to be repeated - it is exactly as described. 550 paracord is a commercial style of a mil-spec product which has a braided overwrap covering 7 yarns of core, each yard with three strands, and a rating of 550 pound tensile strength. The mil-spec cord is supposed to have a minimum length in feet per pound of cord of 225 feet. The total weight of the 100 nominal feet of this paracord was 208 grams, which correlates to an effective length of 208/453.6*225 = 103 feet, using the mil-spec minimum density.

Paracord is one of those pieces of gear that all survival bags should include. Whether you are going on a one day or multiple day adventure this 100 ft. 550 paracord is a necessity. It can be used in many different ways such as a tie down for a tent or tarp, a rope, securing gear to your pack or vehicle, ...etc. This roll of paracord includes a heavy duty velcro strap for keeping the100 feet of paracord rolled up and ready for use when needed. The VVAAGG store that sells this product also sells paracord slings for rifles and other firearms products and this 550 paracord is a great quality product that I recommend to everyone else.

Pros: This is good quality, tight-weave paracord. Easy to tie. Easy to untie. Simple to cut and flame-fuse the ends to prevent fraying. Cons: Nothing. Final thoughts: There are thousands of options out there for someone looking to buy paracord. Most of them are equally good, as it seems like most paracord is of similar quality. This particular cord is no better or worse than other paracord I've purchased. If you like the color and the price is competitive, then I think this will perform just as well as any other paracord. If, on the other hand, you find a better price elsewhere then feel free to take that because you won't be missing out on anything special with this.

I use paracord a lot, both for emergency kits in the cars, for crafts such as rifle slings and bracelets, as well as for making my own camping accessories such as ridgelines etc. This cord comes with a nice velcro strap that keeps things neat and makes it easy to unspool just the amount you need and keep the rest in the neatly wrapped. As for the strength of this rope, I would say firstly that it feels a little heavier than other rolls of 100 feet of paracord. it just feels hefty in your hand. The cord seems to stay round instead of flattening out like some cheaper cords do. This looks to me like the outer sheath is woven more tightly. Good rope, fair price, included strap, Recommended
