I only had ceramic plates and bowls that had become too heavy for my senior hands. Stacking them and lifting them to their shelf required more energy than I cared to spend so I bought these. I had never heard of wheat straw but they feel like a lightweight plastic and have similar attributes.This set pleases my eye with its three different colors. The colors remind me of the Southwest, not far from where I live. A set of six is far more than I need for one person but it’s very cost effective. I find these a delight to use and barely miss my old ceramic bowls.My number one priority has been met! They are so lightweight. It’s so satisfying to be able to place the entire set of six up onto the shelf without much effort. They stack very easily so they take up less space than my previous bowls did. I carry full bowls up my steep stairs and don’t feel burdened. And these are large! They hold more food than my ceramic ones.They are as close to non-stick as I have seen, given that they are not treated with anything. I have melted cheese on pasta in these and it released very easily. And even better, tomato sauce heated in the microwave didn’t stain them at all. They have the best qualities of plastic and leave out the worst ones.Super easy to clean, especially when soaked first, lightweight and beautiful colors……I am sold on wheat straw! I own the plates as well. They are large, lightweight, and have a lip so nothing spills over the sides.

Strong bowls that are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. Was worried they were small at first but they are perfect size as well.

I got these for my daughter who has a two year old that eats his fruit out of bowls. These are perfect! Nice colors, and not flimsy. I would have liked to had more, but stock was out. Thank you

These are very light, wash well in dishwasher, breakable, and I love the colors

They hold a lot, no problem with dishwasher. You can use them in the microwave, but I wouldn’t use them for a long time in the microwave. I love the colors, they are very good quality.

I bought these for my wild critters I feed every night. Sometimes they are raccoons & opossum & sometimes feral cats & who knows who else comes by. They are perfect for this and actually pretty nice quality for the price.
