Cheap and very hot pickup!
Put this in as a temporary replacement for a malfunctioning Dimarzio Super Distortion in a 70s Gibson I am restoring. I’m sure I’ll put something American-made in it at some point to help retain its value but this works very well tonally at the moment. Very hot - it’ll drive an amp or a pedal hard. If you’re used to something with a more vintage output, this will produce a lot more gain and overdrive, and will have a lot more bass and less treble. Cleans are also quite nice too thanks to some natural compression from the high output. Easy to install; not unlike a typical Dimarzio or Duncan four-lead pickup. Would definitely consider this again as an inexpensive upgrade to a far-eastern made guitar. Sounds good; looks good.

Super nice set of pickups, installed on my Jackson Dinky. Great warm sound.

Very Good Inexpensive Pickup
Replaced the stock bridge pickup in my Washburn Sonomaster (a cheap HSS Strat clone). Much hotter, much more capable than the stock pickup. I've used Wilkinson pickups a lot and they do not disappoint.

Perfection!
Absolutely fantastic sound. Clear and clean tone with both pickups. They sound great for every kind of tone you could throw at them. They match my guitar in looks so much better than the chrome covered stock Alnico2s and sound 10 times better. I did not want to put a set in that where more expensive than the guitar itself and at the price of these I'm shocked how great they are.

Good pickups for the price.
They sound good. I’ll be de-soldering the wires and running a thicker gauge since the current ones are very thin and flimsy. But they do sound very good.

Made my budget Les Paul sound great
I bought an inexpensive old MIJ Les Paul from the 70s last year and hated the stock pickups that came with it. As part of a series of budget upgrades, I bought these pickups. I have to say, I’m pretty pleased with them. It added the right amount of grit and gain I wanted without breaking the bank. I’m not super-crazy about the middle position and the neck sound because it’s a little muddy. But to be honest, I had the same issue with my old pickups, which makes me think it’s probably other factors about the guitar and not the pickups. For the price, you can’t beat these!

Perfect for heavy distortion and clean tones
Got these to replace the stock pick ups in my old beater epiphone les paul special. The difference is night and day, which is probably because the stock pick ups weren’t all that great with gain. Very easy to fit and set up and very impressed with the sound quality on these. They’re easily as good as a lot of the $100-$200 pick up sets I have on other guitars and good enough for live work. Would definitely buy again.
