Works with Stihl Kombi KM 130R
I am reviewing this HIPA carburetor for Stihl weed trimmers in general, but specifically for my Kombi KM130R model. Overall, this is a quality product that worked with my engine even there were some differences when compared to my OEM carburetor. It easily installed as a replacement and the engine started on the third pull with this new HIPA carburetor. My original problem was that when pulling the throttle trigger to full power, the engine would start to die. I checked the spark arrestor, fuel lines, tank vent valve, throttle linkage, fuel filter in the tank, air filter, and spark plug. All were in proper working order. The engine started well, just would not run at full open speed. So I decided on the new carburetor approach and it worked. This is what I found out about this HIPA carburetor and my OEM Stihl carburetor.First, all the hose connections from the HIPA to the OEM Stihl are the same composition and diameter. The bottom connections on both carburetors are white plastic and .187" in diameter. The top pipes on both HIPA and the OEM arebrass colored metal and .162" in diameter. That was good news for me because my hoses were in good shape and I reused them all (did not need the hose provided in the kit). This was also good because to use the HIPA hose assembly you would have to pry out the gas tank connector out of the top of the gas tank and I did not want to have to mess with that step. Also, the impulse tube with connects to the main engine via a rubber tube was the same on both carburetors at .241" in diameter. You will have to reuse your original hose as there is not a new one provide in this kit.Second, the intake diameter of both carburetors (the entrance where the choke butterfly is located) were the same at .705". There is a difference in the choke butterfly orientation from the original carburetor to the HIPA. The OEM butterfly traveled a full 90 degrees from full open to full closed. The HIPA choke butterfly only traveled about 75 degrees from fully closed to only about 70% open. It doesn't seem to affect the operation of the engine but I will have to observe performance over time.Third, outtake opening (the side of the carburetor connected to the engine) is much smaller in HIPA model. The OEM Stihl is .629" whereas the HIPA diameter is only .550" in diameter. The butterflies in both models are naturally similarly different. The Stihl Kombi KM130R is one of Stihl's biggest weed whacker engines so this factor may limit the engine's ability to develop full power in the future. I don't do any commercial work or use heavy gauge line so I may be okay.Fourth, as commented on elsewhere in these reviews, the HIPA carburetor does not have a vent tube coming off the (black) plastic top of the carburetor. On the OEM model, this vent tube connects to air filter housing and can draw air from the filtered side of the air filter housing. This may not be a biggie because the new carburetor design my not require this old venting feature unique to the old OEM carburetor that failed. The issue I had was that now there is an open portal on the filtered side of the air filter housing that can easily suck all sorts of dust and debris through this hole directly into the carburetor throat! My solution was I found the end of an old plastic felt tipped marker that was the right size and cut off the end so that it just fit in the open hole without sticking out on either end. Another reviewer said you could just switch out the tops. I didn't do that for two reasons: 1) maybe the HIPA carburetor was not designed to run with a vent, and 2) I didn't want to mess with disassembling a new carburetor to try to rebuild and old one, and 3, maybe the internals of the two carbs are not the same. Seemed like taking a chance I didn't need to.Fifth, this was an easily one for me. The choke knob that comes with the HIPA carburetor was too short for my engine. When I tried to reattach the air filter housing, the housing was bumping into the HIPA supplied choke knob. My old choke knob was about 3/8" longer than the HIPA choke knob. Since the choke shaft on both carburetors where the same diameter, I pulled off the HIPA knob and replaced it with the original choke knob. Note: because of the differences in the HIPA choke butterfly travel (70%), the pointer on choke knobs are never going to line up with the symbols (choke open or closed) on the Stihl engine plastic casing. All in all, this HIPA carburetor solved my issues and at very reasonable price. People with a more recent Stihl weed trimmer model should not have most the issues I observed.

Works incredible well and easy to install. A great deal.
Its hard to believe how great this $15 carburetor replacement works. It works greats, in fact my FS90R from 2010 works better than the last time I had it professionally services for $110. The hardest part was attaching the bottom hose to the carburetor, it took a bit of time. If you buy this kit make sure it has the right fuel filter cover that matches your engine. The attached photo shows the green one that comes with the kit. My FS90R uses the white capped one in the photo which I had to buy separately. Make sure to change the fuel filter since it is included. Also buy yourself a good quality spark plug. Don't use the one included. A good one is about $7.00 at the auto parts store. Also my engine starts first pull now every time. WOW.

Replacement Carb works great
The metering diaphragm in the carb on my Stihl KM 90R power head was dried out and stiff as a card. The engine would start and run at a fast idle but would cut off or run very rough when the throttle was opened. Fuel was good. I use ethanol free gas and Stihl oil. Couldn't find the carburetor ID number other than a "C1Q" which makes it probably a Zama. This carburetor kit cost probably no more than a diaphragm kit if I could find one. It fit perfectly. It started on second pull and only needed a small adjustment of the low speed needle and idle. Runs great so far.

Seems to work fine
easy to install, the low and hi were way out of adjustment. I had to buy an adjustment tool, came today and it seems to run fine after adjusting

Perfect fit and function, Way cheaper than OEM
This carburetor has perfect fit & function in my Stihl KM110R. Idles low and smooth. Full power is on the rich side, but that's OK since that provides better lubrication and cooling. And it's way cheaper than the OEM replacement.A friend gave me his old Stihl KM110R. It sat around in his garage for years and when I got it, it would not run. I spent hours overhauling the carburetor having parts so tiny I had to wear my 8x magnifiers, cleaning out with Berryman B-12 etc. I got it starting nicely and running at full throttle, but only at full throttle. The idle passages were so clogged no amount of cleaning could clear them. I finally gave up and got this replacement. Took all of 10 minutes to install it, and now that KM110R runs like new again.
