I use this mounted at my telescope for the mount, cameras, guiding, etc. I then can sit in my warm and comfortable house and operate it through remote desktop. I bought this unit mainly because it is ventless and I it still has a 9-pin serial port (two actually) for my older telescope mount. This allows me to run the cameras at USB-3 speeds, but still use the older technology for the mount and other things like the focuser, dew controller, etc.This one replaced another one that I had where the motherboard went kaput after 4 years. The tech at Kingdel spent nearly 2 weeks helping me try and diagnose the older one even though it was way out of warranty. We concluded that it was likely a power surge (we had a storm when this was plugged in that also killed a monitor). I used to power the old one with a 12V marine lead acid deep cycle battery but now I use a LiFePO4 so I can maintain the voltage throughout the entire cycle in case that contributed to the relatively short life of the other unit.

This mini pc was purchased for my 90 year old friend. She had an old bully large desktop pc. I set this pc up with her old data and email and social media accounts. She was amazed at the size. It’s so much faster than her old system and completely silent with no fans.

I bought this unit to replace an aging home automation hub in my central AV/network rack. I have been using in for over six months and ... like it so much I think I will buy a second for my home office. Fast, quiet, and never had an issue.

Best price quality / in the mid range.

Does exactly as advertised. Included are a disk drive data cable, a disk drive power cable, a jumper and 8 screws. However, there is absolutely no documentation at all and no information available at the KINGDEL website or on the Web in general. I assume the cables and screws are for adding an internal disk drive but I have no idea what the jumper is for. I would like to know the specs for such a added drive - what is the max capacity and the physical dimension requirements? Additionally, some users have complained that this fan-less device runs hot. My unit does not run hot. After a full day's run it is barely warm to the touch. Perhaps those experiencing heat issues have their units in a confined space or in a hot environment.

Pros:1. This is a snappy little computer, which I use as a security camera server.2. Build is solid3. Quality system components for the priceCons:1. Since it has no fan, it gets quite hot and has shut itself down a couple of times, presumably because of the heat (which isn't great for a security camera server).2. Although advertised as including Windows 11 Pro, it doesn't actually. It comes preloaded with Windows 11 Pro, but you can't activate the operating system without paying $200 for a Windows 11 Pro code. In fairness, you can still use the computer as provided without activation, but there are certain limitations.
