Perfect solution for keeping the weather out of the exhaust system

I ordered this for my small tractor and am impressed by the quality of the item. It has a good amount of weight to it, and the flapper moves smoothly and is well balanced, with just enough imbalance to ensure it closes and won't blow open, but not so much it creates too much back pressure. I truly believe this flapper will last a LONG time.I needed to open up the mounting portion a little to fit over 1-5/8" OD pipe, then use pliers to pinch the tabs back together so I could get the bolt back in. The paint/coating held up 100% to this, which truly shocked me. I couldn't be happier with this exhaust flap.

This will probably work with 1.5 inch THIN walled tubing but does not work with 1.5 inch THICK walled tubing. It would be good if description provided a realistic working size range.

Fit perfectly on my allis Chalmers d-7 series 4. Keeps the water out but still flaps up to allow exhaust to billow out

Installed a pair on the YaMama pipes on my '80 XS650. These are a purely cosmetic modification and they do exactly what I wanted- they flap. They would most certainly work perfectly in a vertical orientation on a farm implement as intended, to keep rainwater out of the exhaust.

I got this for the exhaust stack I made for my 1974 John Deere 110 lawn tractor..I expected it to be a cheap,tin flap and was pleasantly surprised to get a heavy steel, well made flap..Now we'll see how long it lasts ..I think it will be longer than me..
