Nerf Sports Vortex Howler Accelerator

This toy is COOL!! We don't have anything similar so it's cool to have a unique toy. It is hard at first but once you figure it out it is super cool. Kids to adults play with it. I recommend buying another set so more can play at once. Definitely need to use this one outside as you can really throw it far! Super cool. I will be buying this for future kids birthday gifts.

We have had a lot of fun with these. We got them to take with us on our spring break/beach trip. Since the pandemic happened after we purchased they were great because we were able to use them in the parking lot or on the beach and still stay away from other people. The dart has some wear after being thrown on the asphalt and also stuck in a tree. We have used them at home and in the park since we got them and we have ordered two sets besides the one we originally purchased so that we have six total throwers. The darts that come with them whistle. The spare dart does not.

A lot of fun but it is fairly difficult to be accurate with these. We have three kids under the age of 10 so what they enjoy doing is having me throw these as far and as high as I can and they treat it like trying to catch fly balls. This allows them to run underneath them. Really hard to be accurate with these to play actual catch.Really impressed with how far you can throw the little football with the plastic arm/launcher. I am able to consistently throw the little footballs 50-60 yards with 40 yards or so of elevation. Kids liked playing them so much the first time out that my arm was sore for several days.Our smaller kids (7 and 5) have difficulty with the technique to throw using the launcher. They consistently throw the footballs into the ground. Our 9 year old figured it out pretty easily.

My wife is much smaller than I am but she is a great athlete. I love to play Frisbee but she can only throw about a 3rd as far as I do. With these throwing arms (think Atlatl) we can both throw them equally far and that makes it fun. The terminal distance is about 60 yards. I bet some can throw 70 yards but I doubt anyone can throw further more than that. Watching the flight path from the side shows a very steep descent in the last 10 yards. I'm almost 60 years old and this is a good time.Regards,MLE

I play this in the backyard and they work great. Can’t believe that these are priced so cheaply. I saw these in store for close to $20. The ball flies very far if you really try to launch it. The whistle is cool too! Definitely a great gift for athletic kids!

This is the third time we have ordered these. They make the best gifts for "outdoor lovin" kids!

Do not fall for the marketing photos of the two kids playing catch 20 feet apart from each other. I was not able to throw the ball short distances, accurately. You will not be able to play catch in your yard with this unless your yard is a football field. That said, this is super fun if you have the space.
